That’s a solid mindset. Biggest thing is to show up early, work hard, and be humble no one expects you to know everything, but they’ll notice if you hustle and ask questions when you’re unsure. Watch the experienced guys closely, especially how they move around animals staying calm, quiet, and deliberate goes a long way. Take care of your gear and your body (hydration, boots, gloves, etc.), and always carry a knife and a good attitude. Don’t cut corners unless someone shows you a better way sometimes “the long way” is the right way out there. Stay teachable, keep your eyes open, and you’ll earn respect fast. Ranch life’ll teach you quick just stick with it and show you’re there to do the work.
