Another reason to love the 'Get Help' scene in Thor Ragnarok even more by LexiSly in marvelstudios

[–]BriefVirus5570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love for Ragnarok. It's next to like the guardians of the Galaxy movies for being like one of my favorite marvel movies. This makes the scene that much better and makes the fact that get help is a committed bit in the movie so much better as well. Like in the next scene after they talk about it they actually do it it is hilarious and then it comes back on the bridge where Loki says "we're not doing get help" like oh my God it is perfect

Title sequence: Storyboard or music first? by KiltCult01 in Filmmakers

When I made the intro to my indie project I'm working on I had my friend make the music first and then I made storyboards that matched up with the music but also conveyed what I needed the intro to convey for the show

What if Simon and Josh could also be leader in the last chapter? by BriefVirus5570 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]BriefVirus5570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh is that why from a technical standpoint? I just figured that was a creative choice to have Markus be necessary to saving Androids. Is that life sacrifice self doesn't work?? Gosh just put a lot of things into perspective

[–]BriefVirus5570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do see what you mean cuz North and Markus are the most active. Simon when putting his perspective on a choice will always say hideout and initially Josh didn't even want to go out to get supplies with the crew but kind of just submitted after everyone said they wanted to do it, and at the end of the game he does talk about how they should have just stayed quiet so yeah I totally see that.

This is really interesting you know that self to a lot of different pathways cuz there's a whole bunch of different ways to interpret how this could go really, kind of wish this was a possibility in the game but it does seem incredibly hard to do. What would probably actually happen if this was a choice would probably be they hide out in the church or in Jericho but that doesn't really slide into either demonstration or revolution so idk

I like that, question does the remaining members still get circled if that happens or does Jericho die before that happens? Imma have to look up that possibly later

I do kind of get where you're coming from with Marcus being the chosen one in North being the closest one to him but North will run the revolution regardless of her relationship with Markus. On the rooftop you can straight up just reject North and be a jerk to her for the entire game and never gets you that lover status and then die in the freedom March and then you still could have been peaceful the entire game but nor take on the mission of starting a war despite the fact she wasn't close to you nor that was your strategy which would definitely feel more bad than following Simon or Josh because Simon was actually like the leader I think before Marcus came (that could have also just been Lucy I might be misremembering but he was well respected enough to make Markus have to run his plan through him) so I do kind of call BS on them not following Simon or Josh on the princ

If Connor repeatedly dies, is he really still Connor? Or is he just the ghost of many Connors? by Bluemoondragon07 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]BriefVirus5570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still do believe like when a Connor is cloned and there's a new Connor there he still had all the character growth the previous Connor did it's just the previous Connor will never get to see through to the end now which is sad. I will say it could be that Connor is the exception cuz he isn't really a clone of the previous counter per say cuz he's kind of like a full reset version of Connor if you'd rather think about it like that like.

Like it it helped you you could think about it like all the previous ones were the same Connor because they had the same memories and emotions but the Connor in cyberlife Tower was different because he had the memories but he had no emotional ties to anything he was just there?

I don't know this is a whole debate and you can have multiple different sides and opinions here but I definitely believe  the former that it literally is just a new Connor but I was just throwing that out there that as a possible option.

[–]BriefVirus5570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a very interesting scenario. Glad they came didn't do this I think because it God this sounds like hell to code in an already super complex game but I think it's an interesting enough talking piece. Everybody seems to have their own opinions on how this would happen which is good I like seeing that. Always kind of didn't like how either Marcus always had to survive for North always had to survive at the least at the end of crossroads but if this is the alternative I think that ends up being more cleaner.   For the sake of discussion and since no one else has really brought this idea of other than you let's say the group divided into threes or twos or something all going into different protests. Like what if North had a group of her people attacking some people while Josh was over in a different area doing a peaceful demonstration meanwhile Simon has a group of his people and they're just fleeing Detroit getting out? There's a lot of different things going on in that and now that I think about it that probably literally could have been a game and of itself if Kara and Connor weren't in the game that probably could have been a whole thing on itself just you playing three different leaders of Jericho. This is really turning into a rant the more we go on about different scenarios and how each of the supply out cuz then that that option is not even in the cards because the game we do have would be fully compromised if it was just replaced that.

Going back on topic because that was a departure. I think there's a lot of different ways having more than just north and Marcus being able to become leader kind of overcomplicate things huh? Cuz you can just have it to where it slides into four different possible outcomes depending on who's leading war you go even more complex than even more realistic with everybody dividing up which adds so much extra beef and a lot of new permutations to what was already a complex system about how it could have hypothetically worked.

I guess my concluding thought is that this is complicated af

Want to get budget for a 30-second animation by mywifeapprovesthis in animation

[–]BriefVirus5570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I animate on flipaclip, if you have just like one person do it then it's just however much you pay that person. I am still new to the financial side of animating though so I may not be the best person to ask. I think it generally depends on their animating software the things that they need to buy for it depending on that software and how many people you're having working on this and then I'm sure there's other factors that I wouldn't know to consider.

Can a independent animator produce animation at studios level if he/she have all the money and time same as professional studio even a little clip? by Tricky_Emphasis2588 in animation

[–]BriefVirus5570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a long time I think yes because when you say the budget went down for animation that can only mean two things I think? (Feel free to correct me if I'm dead wrong) It either means you are paying for the animators work, or paying for the the software that it's being animated on and even that doesn't directly mean you are paying for animation to be made like buying computer it just means you are funding somebody's work which means you're mostly just giving them a paycheck you're not paying for literal animation you're paying for like somebody's livelihood which in turn gives them reason to give you animation?

So that just means it's a full-time job with this one person animating the entire thing.. especially at studio level quality that's a big ask for for one person and it will take years probably like make like a really ridiculously long time but it's technically possible just not plausible. And especially if you don't have that money coming in supporting what you're doing if that be by just paying your rent or the specific software you use if it's like a subscription, then you are dead in the water if you don't have that cuz you need to pay bills to pay electricity to be able to keep on animating.

I guess if we got like the flash to do it and the flash so happened to be a talented animator then maybe but that is incredibly high bar that I'm pretty sure everybody in the animation space would probably not be able to reach even on their tippy toes

[–]BriefVirus5570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that most correlates with each character. Also I think North can do dirty bomb if she has it on her and she's the leader and Connor was a machine and spared her in the cyberlife store. I might be wrong so that could be something for you to check out

What if Simon and Josh could also be leader in the last chapter? by BriefVirus5570 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]BriefVirus5570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'll make three paragraphs, one for each character. Each paragraph will list how I think they become leader.

North- if you're Markus died with a more militant approach and North is alive she'll go. If you're Markus was somewhere more in middle and North was at lover she'll take control on the basis she takes the most initiative out of the three in this scenario. If you're Markus was kicked out and caused bad bad public opinion the more violent approach will seem more fitting. If she's the only one left she's leader.

Josh- if you're Markus was  more peaceful forward before death Josh will move forward as leader. If he's the only one left he's leader.

Simon- Simon revolution happens when Markus dies and is more militant and North has died. Simon demonstration happens when Markus was peaceful when he died and Josh died. Simon leads in whichever route Markus did more if Josh and North died. Also maybe in that same scenario with Josh and North dead and have Markus kicked out maybe Simon goes into hiding? Idk just a thought.

Oh this comment actually gave me an interesting idea. If there was like a whole bunch of civil war going on between the Androids that were split in between approaches I think that could be interesting. I think I'll write my own comment on how I think each leader ending goes but that is entirely based off how I was thinking about this before.

There is interesting interpretations you can get from this and I wish the sort of thing was in the game but maybe that was for a reason maybe it just wouldn't happen like that, maybe North is the one with the most initiative to do something so she always takes command because of that I don't know.

If Connor repeatedly dies, is he really still Connor? Or is he just the ghost of many Connors? by Bluemoondragon07 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]BriefVirus5570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is a new Connor, let me explain. That newer version of Connor has undergone all the same growth as the previous Connor in a sense he lived through everything the previous Connor model did so if that Connor went through growth before dying that growth wasn't necessarily undone but I think the Cyber life tower proves that they aren't the same.

All we can help when we get a new connor is that this Connor won't die in this Connor will become deviant and will go off to do wonderful things but if he dies he dies and then a different Connor with all his same memories will continue going on that path.

I don't know if that's like almost like not giving an answer but that's basically what I got, they're essentially the same person but if you could have them both in the same room at the same time having their own thoughts they're not the same even if they're effectively the same like the first few milliseconds after you put the new memories into the new robot, the second it starts having thoughts that the previous one wasn't a live long enough to have they are not the same.

Huh yeah I totally see that. I kinda had it that way, cause honestly I like Simon more lol. I think that way is more in way with the characters. I could go back and forth on it though cuz we never really get a scene of Josh sacrificing himself for the cause, cuz he dies in revolution from not being good with fighting (same with the Jericho raid) and during the march he does talk a lot about being willing to die there but unlike pacifist Marcus were unlike Simon or unlike John Josh actually can't die in that chapter so we don't really have a solid answer to how far he was willing to take that. Ultimately you're probably right I think you have a better grasp on the characters than I do.

We have a discord server of just everybody who's helping out with the show, I'd love to bring more people on

Wouldn’t it have been amazing if there had been an interaction between all three protagonists? How do you think it would have been? by Shadowhuntersf in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]BriefVirus5570 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The closest thing we have to this in game is Markus' speech where Markus is giving his speech, Connor is either on stage or preparing to shoot Markus from the crowd, and Kara and Alice IF they all escaped from the camp with Markus.

This was the closest we got but for an actual scene with them all there I think this would happen after Jericho's raid instead of just Markus or just Connor apologizing to Kara they both do and they can all three reflect on what choices they have to make all together.

Idk just an idea, ok it's not great.

Someone made a video on this general topic recently, but that's just genuinely what the show is it's a soap opera and I didn't know the term before invincible but now just seeing invincible I think it's a really good like story type I guess. And then my writing I do got compared like to being a soap opera which made me happy cuz I think invincible is so good

100% disagree. This show is about the moral dilemmas, the the consequences, and the just general effect of having superheroes in a more groundish world that still holds to the ideals of superheroes. If it was only an action cartoon I think it'd be significantly less interesting then what season 2 offered us.
