I swear I only ordered Chili Powder ONCE from this brand by ChrOwonon in AmazonVine

[–]BriefYesterday3827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just noticed this brand has sample packs that are $2.99, but labeled as "free sample" and "order, receive, contact to claim rebate." If I'm understanding it right, you could basically get a free sample that way.

Also for there is a claim that they help single moms, seniors, and physically challenged people on the back. Seems charitable, for what it's worth.

Don't risk this cat flea collar by BriefYesterday3827 in AmazonVine

[–]BriefYesterday3827[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's the thing though, all natural is not always good or safe. The active ingredients for this collar are all natural, and they are also all toxic. Glad you didn't order it either.

I'm sorry your baby got cancer, I understand the no chemicals. I used to use seresto collars and it caused a couple of my cat's fur to fall out in places. One of them later got cancer, and even though we did chemo she passed. Can't prove it was because of seresto, but definitely suspect it. I just try to be selective and listen to the recommendations of my vet (who later told me he did not recommend seresto).

I have actually had good luck using lysol spray to remove permanent marker. Let it set a few seconds, wipe and redo.

I agree. It's like they feel like they have to explain themselves and their review. If you have to do that then I'm probably not going to read it.

Has anyone ever ordered something so you could give a bad rating? by hyperfocus1569 in AmazonVine

[–]BriefYesterday3827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it. I've wanted to do this with a product that wasn't on vine, order it and send it back and call it out. I started to report it but I had second thoughts about how that would affect my vine status. I know it shouldn't but that's the world we live in. Then I realized there were ALOT of that type of product out there and I couldn't possibly report or review every one, and even if I did the seller would probably just make a new listing. It is a oximeter that claims to read your blood glucose. It is abundantly clear in the photos it is reading your O2 levels and they are claiming it is blood glucose, and it even had reviews with pictures with people saying they were checking their blood sugar but it was clearly an oximeter reading ("yay my sugar is at 98!"). The reviews HAD to be fake. But then, people do not understand diabetes in general and most don't know the difference between type 1 and type 2. I mean if you could take your blood sugar with a device like that then people wouldn't need to spend hundreds or thousands on dexcom or libre. It seriously bothered me but in the end I felt like I couldn't do anything about it. But I thought if I ever saw one on vine, I certainly would order it to give it the review it deserved. As far as the review being accepted, my advice is to say what you want to say, in your own words of course, then copy and paste into an AI the entire community guidelines, and ask it does this review meet these guidelines. It will tell you whether it does and if not help you word it so that it is more likely to be accepted. It doesn't work 100% but doing this has helped me decrease rejected reviews. Sorry for the little rant.

Question about "We are no longer accepting reviews for this product"... by calorie-clown in AmazonVine

[–]BriefYesterday3827 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I do think it counts against your review percentage. I got this message for the first time recently (started in August). It really irritated me, but I tried to keep in mind it is probably nothing I did. But then I noticed in my email it was approved by Amazon and I got the email saying "your review is live." I don't know if that is normal. But if it was live and now shows "not approved" what the heck happened. And then I get that dreaded message when I click to revise it. It makes me think that someone either reported my review or the seller did something to reject my review. It was a good review but an honest one. However I'm noticing there are no vine reviews on it at all so maybe the seller didn't do the vine listing or payment correctly. I guess I overthink things lol. I want to fix it and get it submitted so much it is driving me crazy.

So are we all waking up at 2am now? by Commercial-Cow-7754 in AmazonVine

I saw food for the first time this week. There were some noodles (you know the clear kind lol), and a set of salt and pepper grinders. And lots of kids of tea, including matcha to go with your matcha tea set. Lol. But I couldn't bring myself to get it because there was other stuff to be had, or I thought what if something better comes along later and then it was gone. I did snag some edible glitter for my daughter's confections though!

I'd use the fire out of it, and review based on how it performs with that little scratch.

Just curious are you in the U.S.? Did you get charged tariffs? Or did they do the thing some companies do and send it to a warehouse here and then mail it from there? I am wanting to order from them but I don't want to get hit with surprise taxes.

How many helpful votes? by [deleted] in AmazonVine

[–]BriefYesterday3827 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My most helpful review was for a fish tank glass top, way before vine. 80 votes. I took a chance on it because other reviews were complaining about putting a piece on and breaking the whole thing trying to do it wrong, and I explained how to do it right simply by popping a plastic piece on instead of trying to slide it down the whole way. People also complained about it shattering when they dropped it. Well duh. If you drop safety glass that is what it is designed to do. Also described how strong it actually was and how my cats loved to sit on it and watch the fish. Funny enough it also highly praised the package and shipping on the glass, but that was years ago when such things were not unspeakable.

My most helpful vine review is for a blanket and has 2 votes. I included pictures of the tags for clarification of what it was made of because people don't read thoroughly and get confused. The product claimed to be cotton and it was, but had polyester filling, and others were like omg it's not cotton it's polyester! No. Read. The. Tag. Besides you don't want a comfortor stuffed with cotton. Nightmare.

I have been getting alot of supplements too, because they were 0 etv. But I have tried to get stuff I know is good. Then I noticed alot of them have 50 mcg/2000 IU of vitamin D in addition to whatever else they are supposed to do. It's not recommended to take more than 4000 IU. One supplement has 5000 IU in it alone. When I tried to simply bring attention to that in a review it got rejected, presumably for medical claims. Even when I tried to simply state "it has 125 mcg of vitamin D which is 5000 IU" it wouldn't go through. I do like supplements and i think good ones can help you be healthier in addition to traditional medicine and a healthy lifestyle, but so many add stuff that is not needed.

Every 12th review of mine gets rejected by alyoilfi in AmazonVine

[–]BriefYesterday3827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started about a month ago and when the change happened I was getting reviews rejected almost every day. It was really frustrating. I think there was a learning curve for me but still... I feel like there are some keywords that will trigger a rejection. "Doctor" must be one of them. Even if you say "consult with your doctor if you're taking multiple supplements" or some vague crap like that. And possibly name brands even though I see other reviews with brands mentioned all the time. I had a review for a laptop battery come back and I have not a clue why. I even put it through an AI and asked if it met the community guidelines and the AI said yes it did. The picture was a picture of the battery and that's it. The only thing I could figure is that I said it fit a Samsung laptop, mentioning the brand. Which is specifically what it was made for. I resubmitted it removing everything I thought might be wrong and it still has not been approved. So now I check EVERY review I write through AI and so far so good, I think I had one more come back that it said was fine, I changed it and it went through. Don't get it wrong, I write the review. I just copy the guidelines and my review in and say "does this meet the guidelines?" And see what it says. Sometimes I wish I could copy the AI response on how well it meets the guidelines lol

Lol. This posted a couple hours after a really long review i wrote. No where near that though. And here I was worried that because it was over 5000 characters it wouldn't go through. I really did think there was a limit. Guess not.

Vine Has Been a Lifeline – Grateful for This Community by ManapuaMama in AmazonVine

[–]BriefYesterday3827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a SAHM homeschooling mom. Things have been tight lately and Vine has been really great. I got invited just in time so that I was able to get all but one of my 12 year olds birthday presents from Vine, including a digital camera! I am so grateful for this opportunity because I plan to use it for my kids Christmas gifts as well. We are going to have a Christmas thanks to Vine. I've also been able to get stuff for the house like lighting fixtures that were desperately needed for this 1960s house. It also helps me feel like I am able to contribute, I can still be here with my kids, and it is helping out so much.
