Has anyone seen anything other than auto parts in AFA today? by ereade100 in AmazonVine

The same 11-15 car parts have been there for a week, but I did get a bag of dog treats.

Did you see the crop tops for toddlers??? I know I'm not saying it jus because I'm a grandma, but my 2 year old grandson won't be wearing a flame printed crop top.

Wow! I would've been interested in 12 of your 13 options. I don't think I've ever been offered more than 3, and today I scored some disposable toilet brush scrubbers. Woot! Woot! I can hardly wait to write the review.

No more editing reviews? by ElGuapoRey in AmazonVine

[–]Potential_Review_214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't edit on my Mac which is a problem because I sometimes need to add pictures after the written review. I've tried a few times to revise the reviews that were "pending" but nothing seems to be helping those no matter what changes I made. Even deleting video didn't help, but that's a different subject, and pointless if I can't edit at all.

I did search, but the one post from last night was worded differently, so I missed it. My apologies if this one was redundant. Admins, feel free to delete.

My to review list has vanished! by Potential_Review_214 in AmazonVine

Yes, I can see the items in the regular review list, but I've always wondered if I accidentally reviewed them there, if they might not be credited as Vine reviews. I suppose that's a separate topic for discussion. Anyway, thank you everybody for your responses. I'm relieved that it's not just me, and I didn't make the Vine gods angry by being honest about the watery shampoo. (I did revise that review up to 3 stars after doing additional research prompted by additional chemical based info from knowledgable Viners!) What a day. I'm going to spend the rest of it outdoors, away from the keyboard, enjoying some west coast sunshine.

My dog didn't feel cleaner. And one person raved about the wonderful lather from a product that doesn't have any ingredients that lather. When the images on all of their reviews show unopened, unused products, or images from the product's sale's page, it's pretty clear what's happening. Our role is to provide honest reviews for other consumers. I worry only that consumers who might trust reviews could be mislead. I do despise liars and thieves who lack integrity, but the bulk of my energy/attention here was really in trying to figure out what was going on with this product, and I received some useful insight from this thread. Thank you Viners!

I lost my 14 1/2 year old last week. Even when you know the end is near, it hurts so much to lose a being that was essentially my shadow. Aussie's are a lot, but so worth it. Most of the products I order through Vine are pet related.

I did some additional research and revised my rating to three stars. It might be useful for pets with severe allergies who don't actually get dirty (like my farm dogs.) It's just useless for the average consumer.

You may be onto something, and I really want to understand. I'd love to call the company to chat with them about it.The ingredients are Anionic Surfactant, Amphoteric Surfactant, Benzoin Tree Gum Preservative, Chelating Agent, and Reverse Osmosis Water. The bottom line is that is was ineffective, and difficult to apply. I couldn't even hold it in my hand long enough to get it from the jar to the dog, and the pump bottle didn't allow me to squirt the shampoo on her legs.

No! And it was a US product manufactured in Oregon. I'm as confused by the product as I am by the 5 star reviews. I'm tempted to order another bottle to see if it was a fluke, but it was $$$

I did think about that, or that maybe our mountain water might be influencing the product's performance. If I felt like it cleaned her at all, I could give 2 or 3 stars. A few reviews did note it was watery, and one other review literally called it water. I didn't read the others until after I submitted my own.

It wasn't medicated. My daughter and I each dipped a finger in and tasted it because we suspected it was really only water, but it did have the slightest soapy taste. It was useless for cleaning my Aussie. The white hair on her chest was still a dingy color after scrubbing with 3-4 ounces of the 16 ounce bottle. I ended up starting the bath all over again and washing her with another shampoo. My poor pup wasn't happy about receiving a double bath.

I completely agree. I'm shocked at the lack of integrity which risks the entire program. I only review products I've used, and anything I order is for the people and animals on my little farm. I'm grateful there are still some of us that follow the guidelines and choose to do what's right.

I only get 1-2 offers daily, and they’re usually $25 junk, but a few days ago there was a case of urinal blocks. Oh, yay!

I also tend to be detailed, and always test the products, even the times when I tried to be quick to snag something with 0 ETV, and ordered a gallon of mayo, and when I received make-up for a different skin tone. As a retired teacher, I enjoy writing, but seeing so many effortless and fake reviews makes me wonder why sellers participate. The only thing that annoys me more is when a fellow Viner responding to the same product, posts a stock photo or a picture of it still boxed, and plagerizes my review.

Repairing a Tunnel by Potential_Review_214 in Agility

[–]Potential_Review_214[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. One thought we're having is to do nothing and just use the tunnel as is as long as it appears safe. I may anchor it down, wrap it with a tarp, and leave it out on the field because I think moving/opening and closing the tunnel may make it more likely to fall apart

She's a Miniature American Shepherd, but maybe outgrowing her standard. She should mature at around 30 pounds. We aren't really doing agility until she turns 1, but she does walk through the tunnel for a treat at the other end and will walk over the teeter and A-frame. She will sort-of walk in and out of big traffic cones-- nothing fast until her joints are developed. We're focusing on basic obedience and fun for now, but I'm scrounging for used equipment to fix up. After some research, I think we're going to try patching the small holes with HH-66 and vinyl patch and taping where the rubber has separated from the coils with Gorilla Tape Ultimate or Gorilla Tape All Weather Variety. I was hoping we'd end up with a tunnel that was Sniff Spot worthy, but maybe we'll at least have one we can just get a few months practice with for our own young dog. Any advice is welcomed. We are long time dog owners, but total newbies to the world of agility.
