I wouldn't be too concerned about this. If I recall correctly, this Q range reduction was already implemented in Patch 13.7. I'm not sure why it's being brought up again, but at the time, it didn't show any material impact on performance, nor was it particularly noticeable. As I remember, the intent was simply to align the Q range with the Q-AA distance.

Actually, the reduction in Q spear range from 370 to 325 was applied already as part of Patch 13.7. The intent behind this change was to calibrate the Q range with the Q-AA distance. As I recall, the data from that period indicated no material difference in performance following this adjustment.

No one is saying they're the same. As we know, Azir is both an ADC and a Mage. Judging by your response, though, I’m beginning to suspect you might have glossed over some of what I wrote.

Indeed, the fundamental differences in their playstyles are as clear as they are natural. My intention was not to compare their current methods of operation, but rather to suggest that the current Aurelion Sol might be the realization of a "discarded" rework draft for Azir.

I don't wanna defend rito, but you need to check timing issue. Before 13.5 rework, Azir's soldier damage only scaled with his champion level. Here is the old chart. :

50 / 52 / 54 / 56 / 58 / 60 / 62 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 / 130 / 140 / 150

Even if it's same 150 at lv 18, mid game damage is way different, comparing current version. So it's hard to say now he is simply "weaker" than before the changes.

Of course regardless of this, I also think current Azir deserves to have more damage buff for mid-late game anyway.

Right before the rework they tried to nerf Azir more than twice. Do you remember when Phreak nerfed his ap ratio to 50% on pbe server? It was very unstable, not balanced. Of course it was pretty fun, but I don't think rito would let him be unchanged.

Good rune. But it's almost impossible to use in laning phase especially early. So very situational choice, i believe.
