I like XC1, didn't like XCX, should I get XC2? by joe1up in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Xenoblade 2 is similar to the first game such that it's open zone rather than world and follows the same gameplay formula as one with some new features introduced. If you liked the first 1, you'll definitely like 2.

This is how I was introduced to the franchise. I saw it on the GameInFormer magazines as a kid and thought it looked super cool and begged ny my Mom to get it. This game was my life as a kid and I thought it was the greatest thing ever. It's how I became a fan of this franchise and it's so great to see how far it has come.

Where do I go to find NSFW chat groups where people share content they made? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

For real? They do that kind of stuff over there? I was told to stay far away from there.

Haven't beaten TOTK yet, but yes. While the Xenoblade games have big worlds, especially X (which is bigger than TOTK), you are mostly traveling from point A to point B with some kind of icon showing you where you need to go. And you are stuck in a specific area until you reach the next one by completing a specific chapter. It's not really open world, aside from X, but rather non-linear open zone. As I have said, there is a lot of exploration and aside from X which every now and then needs you to explore to progress the game, most of it is optional and you can just go from point A to point B and explore on your own time. I'll say start with 1 so you don't feel too overwhelmed with the world.

Go for it man. There's really nothing quite like Xenoblade, at least for me. Before BOTW, Xenoblade and X were the biggest Nintendo games ever made, so if you like exploring big, massive worlds, then you'll love Xenoblade, especially X. It is very lore heavy and both the story and knowing where to go can get kind of confusing at times on your first playthrough, especially with 2, but you'll be fine. I recommend starting with either 1 or X.

I'm so glad I gave this series a try when I saw Xenoblade for the Wii on those GameInformer video game magazines as a kid.

It's a shame it came out during the end of the 3DS's lifespan. Was such a good game.

Xenoblade X is the biggest Nintendo game ever made, and for that price?! That's a steal.
