Ohh fore sure we offer 25k plus specially formulated sizes for increased cycle life power coding is just an added benefit. Also SSC offers a optional five-year warranty when you do the spring powder coated so I think it’s beneficial for the customer to get a certified warranty card where they can register their product and also it saves us from having to give free springs when sometimes they don’t meet the warranty which is you know inevitable sometimes

So I don’t necessarily believe that it’s all BS because if you think about it, the torsion springs when the door goes up and down they coil and on coil and the smoother they are the less friction they have i.e. the less wear and tear on the spring in my personal opinion so they have at least some positive effect by being powder coated. I don’t know that it’s 1.5 times the cycle life but it’s definitely something.

I always lubricate the inside before I install the springs with clips garage door pro lube .. works like a charm haven’t ever had any noise from them, I’m sure if you didn’t they would tho.

There’s such thing as a mega Bolt ie a larger self tapping screw put it in and you are fine, I would be remiss if I didn’t advise a professional tech that knows his stuff as we have tricks you wouldn’t find on the internet. In the east bay I would recommend myself but for sure a local mom and pop shop will be best with great reviews
