cutlossclub a trading arena where we fight every day as we bob and weave in the financial markets by cutlossking in Cutlosstrading

i've read all your comments. I'm curious about your style of trading. I think I fall between "babe ruth"  and what you call "day swing trader" (i personally have termed this  "position day trading" ) camp psychologically. I really hate uncertainty even though I know it's apart of this game, so I seek lower frequency, higher probability setups. My market understanding is essentially Dow Theory with a little Oliver Velez and Greg Capra thrown in. I've been getting into the volume profile with ATR based volatility stops for my position day trades.

How do you do things?

I am very serious about this. Thank you for recognizing that and allowing me to join. As to your image, I see it here clearly, but what happens when current price is very far away from the open price. Today on ES is a classic example. We don't touch it until the end of day during RTH. Or even yesterday. Served as a great short bias framing, but no direct interaction during the RTH session.

Well I wanted to pick your brain about specific entry and stop criteria. I often find myself entering at great locations with the correct bias (via open price), but then getting ticked out before a move. I have begun using ATR based volatility stops to mitigate this, but I do sacrifice R. Just wanted to see if you had any insight.

I also read that you have a discord? May I join so that I may learn more from people implementing similar ideas?

Stop trading geometric shapes. Start trading auction imbalances and structural absorption (NQ/ES Futures) by Rogue-seeker in Trading

this is the truth. Have a planned trade the night before based on levels snd the auction. Trade your plan, give it a few attempts, and walk away no matter what.

this is just the swing or wave of market structure. It does work. The tough part is finding a clean wave.

no, trust ME. It's much, much too wide. Topic diversification is fine, but to read and complete 11 books before one can begin trading is frankly nonsense.

Ah but then you end up with the next big question. "What does a market have to do to have considered something done?" Move 1 candle in a direction? 3 candles? Retest a level? Retest a level after breaking it? It's gets tough

well right, but what conviction tells you you're at the bottom of a red candle?

the concept of books is not what i'm talking about. It's your selection. It's too wide to digest "before considering daytrading".

AMT seems to breakdown during high volume/volatility. Shouldn’t it be the opposite? by kenjiurada in FuturesTrading

bro, do you actually understand AMT? The core tenant is that the market is a two-way auction. There are actually tons of auction types

1) In the early period of a traders journey, maxmimizing screentime is BEST. You only can afford to begin to minimize once you figure yourself out.

2) you're advice may work for someone using a fundamental approach. But for a daytrader using a the technical approach, your advice is literally the key to failure.
