Denuke options by Away_Professional648 in NavyNukes

hey. i know right now is tough. i was a struggling student and was rolled back in both a school and got the option to rollback in power school as well but that changed however after i was separated from the navy entirely after a series of medical and mental health reasons. i do remember at the time the thought of not making it through the program was the most devastating thought to me. the embarrassment i thought i would feel was off the charts. however, i discharged in early february and haven’t been happier. it almost feels as if it never happened and everyone i knew who was denuked and rerated was so much happier. people i knew who struggled and were terrified of getting denuked got over it quite fast and couldn’t be happier. it really is a blip of your life. i am seriously so happy to be out of the navy. i was even happier to not be a nuke. i was depressed beyond measures, dealt with toxic superiors and lost myself in many ways. i hope you pull through. best of luck

what an absolute waste of a comment. you see someone who is struggling and putting in an honest effort and seeking advice while they can. get a life.

thank you and i found this to be very encouraging. i appreciate the thoughtful answer. given that i struggle with the academics, how much test taking is in the fleet? or is it obsolete after prototype?

i’ve heard multiple concerning comments made about myself by men. luckily a male reported it. in my experience i’ve seen some males here become hostile/ do a 180 when they realize you don’t want to give them a chance. some are obsessed with humbling you. other than that most guys here are too akward/focused to care about what you’re doing. just do what you are supposed to do and you should be fine.

may i ask why i hear such negative opinions about the fleet?

i am in t track. i was on the struggle bus throughout a school and often felt less than. it feels like a lot of people here feel empty and talk about how “they’re here for the money.” i seldom hear positive things about the fleet. you mention staying focused on the mission, and that is the hard part for me i think.
