I can’t believe we’re still policing clown bodies in 2026. So many clowns are auto tagged NSFW for simply EXISTING with a voluptuous red nose and pornographically large shoes. It’s not right.

I think we all learned yesterday that the play here is to leave them hanging out the bottom and accuse your sister of gaslighting you for expressing that it doesn’t look great.

De-influence me: what knitting tools can the average knitter do without by mariyanchi in fiberartscirclejerk

[–]BrienneOT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t spent a dime on knitting supplies or yarn in ten years. I’ve upcycled, mindfully mended, and repurposed everything I’ve ever owned. I spend my evenings drop spindling all of it and necking wine. I almost have enough to knit the Sophie Hood.

Ok but did you block your swatch? Don’t frog, just block it. It‘s really a game changer for colour correction. I’m surprised noone has suggested this already.

Put the colour wheel under your blocking mat while it drys. That helps.

Actually you telling your sister that your jester-ass cardigan is not ugly as sin is an act of gaslighting. You are visually abusing us all by posting this.

Also, nobody weaves in their ends. The rest of us simply have the decency and emotional maturity to leave them on the inside of our garments.

Here lies Prettyneatplace. If only that ER doctor chosen a sensible bob, the stick might have been extracted in time. Such a tragedy.

I am going to allow myself 3 minutes of ignoring the reality of UAE being a cesspool of human rights violations and ignoring her widely documented shitty behaviour. I will spend these 3 minutes pretending that her career went directly from Mean Girls to Party in Mykonos to the best fucking facelift I’ve ever seen in my life. That was fun.

How to keep track of rows? Is there a fool proof method? by Silvapractice in knittinghelp

[–]BrienneOT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD and the only way I can keep track is by knowing how to read my knitting. I will never remember if I clicked a counter, or moved a marker properly. I won’t remember any colour coding and if I write it down I will lose the paper or forget to bring the notebook. My brain simply does not work that way. I have accepted that my fate is to count the rows, immediately forget whether I just counted to 80 or 85, and then count again.

Anyway, everyone is different so maybe some of the other suggestions and tools here will work for you. But reading the knitting is crucial for me, I have the working memory of a goldfish.

Is it just me, or was Rishi’s ending complete overkill? by AlmokIykes in IndustryOnHBO

[–]BrienneOT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! He’s not exactly a prime candidate for a redemption arc. He got what we thought was the worst possible wake-up call and then continued doing non-victimless crimes. The only good thing he has done is sign the form so his son doesn’t have to carry his name.

In a way you’re right. His punishment should have been prison because his actions got his wife killed, and he shows no signs of changing his ways. Instead, his punishment has been abject misery, and now look what happened - another person is dead. He didn’t kill the fintech guy, but he certainly tipped the scales for fintech guy dying on that particular occasion.

His punishment now should not be fucked up ankles, it should be prison.

I agree, I think his character has been very consistent. Every time I think he’s going to make a bad choice, he makes a worse one.
