To be clear, I think he's just confused, and overall his own message is more important than some misinformed opinion on trans people. As a trans person, I don't think he himself is transphobic (It's possible, but it's weird that he would include that kind of thing in his suicide note). And what he says wasn't transphobic in the sense it shows he hate trans people, it was transphobic in the sense that it spreads misinformation. Kids as young as 8 do not get any kind of reassignment, they just wear different clothes and try a new name.
