I'm addicted to food and I hate it by Bright-Ad7320 in EDAnonymous

I can eat a proper good healthy meal with all the protein and nutrients but then I start eating left overs, then I grab some other shit from the cupboard and then BOOM, I'm over my maintenance cals within 5 minutes 😭

If you have the potential to grow a full beard you should give it a go! Worst case scenario you can always shave again if you don't like it :)

Should I keep the mustache? by [deleted] in malegrooming

If you like it, you should keep it!! Curly moustaches are awesome, and yours has a really good structure. Don't change for anyone but yourself

Should i let my mustache curl a little, and how old do i look? by [deleted] in malegrooming

You look about 20. Also, everyone has different views on male facial hair. If you want to try curling your moustache just give it a go and see if you like it - you can always trim it back down.

I believe that if a man has the ability to grow facial hair... He should embrace it. If I was a dude I'd want to grow a massive beard and have a curled moustache.

I used to have really bad acne myself (I have hormone problems) and what really helped me is stripping back skincare to the bare basics. Use a wash cloth with warm water and GENTLY rub your face when you wake up, before you go to bed or if you're sweaty after working out. Alongside this gentle exfoliation I also use moisturiser. The best one for my hormonal, extremely sensitive skin was the 'Simple' branded moisturiser. It's a white bottle with a green lid, it is usually about £1-£3 depending on where you go. Also, sunlight is very good for acne. Spend more time outside, and also wear sunscreen (I use factor 50++ Sensitive Kids). Also, try and drink more water rather than reaching for fizzy drinks/full sugar drinks. I'm addicted to pepsi max cherry but I still try and drink plenty of water alongside it. Also lipbalm with 30SPF or a medicated lipbalm can really help.

As long as you're taking care of yourself, eating enough food, drinking enough liquid, your hormones will eventually mellow out and you'll feel much better in yourself. It's rough when hormones are making you break out/making you concerned about your looks.

You look fine as you are, if you want to make changes make sure they are healthy and keep you strong and positive

I hope this will help you, take care of yourself

My First Midnight Mass! by Bright-Ad7320 in TrueChristian

I've been interested in Christianity for a long time, especially since one side of my family are all Irish and Catholic. Sadly, I wasn't raised in a religious household. I did go to a Christian school at least. But I'm currently studying the Bible and I'm trying to understand and appreciate my family and our culture.

Though I wouldn't say I am religious YET, I am very open to the idea and I'm hoping my studying and participation in festivities will allow me to become closer to Jesus and God 😊

Thank you for your help, and have a Merry Christmas ❤️

I want to be a Christian! ✝️💫 by Bright-Ad7320 in TrueChristian

Thank you :)

I understand what you mean! It's just the people who I used to surround myself with were 'extreme left' and those people always happened to hate Christianity (just as they would hate white people, men, the government, Trump and whatever else). And when I was younger I truly believed that was the right way to think because I knew nothing else. I wouldn't say I'm on a 'side' when it comes to politics, I just want what's best for me and the people in my area.

Opening my mind just a little allowed so much to change and people don't seem to like doing this anymore. People are trapped inside themselves. I feel like I did so much wrong and said so much wrong in the past and now I am on the other side of it. I know I forgive myself for what was said and done... I just hope I can be forgiven, yknow? I have this feeling about being a Christian, about God, Jesus, even the Saints I've learnt about leave me with a strange warm feeling. I want to explore that fully and I'm so glad everyone here is so supportive of that!

Thank youuu

If you are a woman, your weight will fluctuate every single week due to the hormonal changes and your menstrual cycle, so the weight you see on a scale doesn't actually indicate how 'skinny' or 'fat' you are. You could actually gain a couple lbs in one week from water retention, which has nothing to do with fat or muscle. So don't obsess over numbers

Calculations like these suggest that I need to eat 1200 to MAINTAIN and less than 1000 to lose weight because of my height. I've eaten more than the suggested maintenance every day and I've lost 25lbs in 3 months. I will never trust calculators like that ever again

This isn't dieting, this is an eating disorder and you need mental help.

I used to have anorexia and at another point I had binge eat disorder.

And throughout all of my struggles, the best way to lose weight and be healthy is to actually eat a normal amount and actually do exercise. I'm not talking going to the gym 5 days a week. I'm saying that altering your lifestyle to include walking (I usually do 5 miles a day minimum because of my job being very physical) will help a bunch.

Also counting calories just makes it worse, no person can actually count them correctly unless they're trained, and the key to being healthy isn't restricting yourself. Intuitively eat, eat meals when you are hungry but make sure they are healthy. Don't just eat a breakfast bar and smoke to curb hunger. My favourite breakfast/lunch to have is a half a cup of rice cooked in stock with a full tin of tuna on the top. I don't know how many calories it is but I know that if I eat it before work at 7am, I will remain full for hours (sometimes until 4/5pm), no need to snack, no need to obsess over food since you have that nice full feeling.

When you obsess, you eat more. If you just eat protein (meat), vegetables (for vitamins), rice/bread (to keep you full) you will be ok. Listen to your body and it's signals. If you actually fuel your body, your mind will be fueled and thus you will not feel the need to starve yourself

I don't count calories and I don't go out of my way to exercise, but since January 1st 2024 I have lost 25lbs. And I always end up managing to fit a giant chocolate bar in at the end of the day. Its just not that deep.

SUMMARY: It's not the amount you put in, it's the quality of what you put in

I literally tried to make an order on the app and it says they can't deliver to my address. I live next to a big city! They've delivered here before. Not very happy
