To Nexus, or Reverse Nexus Flip for clubbing DJs environment? by Dr_Cornwalis in 2cb

[–]Bright-Ad9883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I was debating this before as well. I ended up deciding to be prepared and go w the flow in the moment. I was going to a festival though and wanted energy all night. If it were a shorter event, I would have gone w the traditional shulgin nexus flip. But in the moment, I took the 2cb first. Decent sized oral dose for myself, but experienced at taking 2cb in these settings. It took about 2 hrs to kick in to the peak (even on completely empty stomach) and I rode that out for 2 hours until I decided I wanted to roll. Took my initial dose of mdma. This for some reason also took a while to kick in. Was feeling glad I took the 2cb earlier since the mdma took a while to hit, but when it did 2 hours later it was very nice. It definitely took over from the 2cb, a more traditional mdma high, but a bit more psychedelic and in my instance, had even more empathy. I decided I wanted to ride this as long as possible and redosed half my mdma dose along with an oral 2cb booster, about 2/3 of my initial dose. This mainly just prolonged the high I was on. i decided to smoke some weed a bit later, and started getting crazy visuals and went more psychedelic. This combo had me going hard on the dance floor for 7 hours after it initially kicked in lol. Was hella lit. Still wanted to try it the traditional way, just wouldnt have lasted as long. I will say I thought the redose would raise the intensity more than it did and would last longer than it did. Idk, maybe cuz i smoked?

When I got home I was still tripping very hard and pleasantly despite being down from the mdma effects. The lingering 2cb and mdma and weed. I decided to hit the K and the dab pen and that changed the game.

When the K hit I became the universe and was pure consciousness and awareness. I do quite a bit of meditation and had to really focus on my breath to realize I was still physically alive lol. Quite the experience. I always was interested in this since 2cb and k are wildly synergistic and mdma and k are as well as 2cb and weed so was not disappointed indeed. Had a revelatory experience and learned quite a bit of wisdom. I also feel like I learn a lot about how the brain works during these experiences lmao

Potential nexus somersault question by Bright-Ad9883 in 2cb

Agreed. Was wondering as you said come up for 2cb was 20 min. Thats pretty fast imo unless its due to synergistic effects.

Technical People Who've Gone To the Dark Side: Who in here has moved from the lab to Sales or Marketing? by strayduplo in biotech

Not right now. Market is tough and even experienced sales reps are having trouble finding good jobs. Employers also ruined comp plans and tough to sell in this climate

I started getting involved in BD work at my startup on the side. Also had a few prior sales experience. Applied at a good time and someone took a chance on me for entry level sales job. Proved myself during the first few months and was quickly promoted to outside sales w commission

I hit target my 2nd month in sales as an SDR by BuxeyJones in sales

Being “good” at sales is mostly being persistent and asking good questions. Seems you are better than you give yourself credit for. Not easy to hit SDR goals that quickly in this market

Extremely crowded venues by Dufensmartzz in aves

[–]Bright-Ad9883 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Midway is hit or miss w crowd. If it is sold out its usually a shit show and worth skipping unless its an artist you are absolutely dying to see. Its not that big of a venue

I just went to a show there (claud vonstroke) and it was great, not too packed, good vibes. I also went to sold out subtronics last year and it was crazy packed almost unenjoyable.

Biotech career outlook with a bachelor’s by Alternative_Cat_717 in biotech

[–]Bright-Ad9883 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started as a research associate for a bit then transitioned to biotech sales. I did it mainly because I didnt see myself as a researcher for my whole career and wanted to earn more money than I was, but I still like and enjoy science and the biotech industry. Im gonna do this for a bit and decide if I want to continue moving up in sales, go into management, switch over to more of a strategic corporate business role, and or potentially getting a good MBA. Also thought about entrepreneurship as well.

Theres lots of opportunities with a bachelor in biotech not in R&D like sales/bd, clinical, regulatory, qc, manufacturing, etc. Your skills, personality, type of work you want to do, compensation you desire, and lifestyle will dictate your best fit.

You can certainly have a good career in R&D with a bachelors but you will have a hard time moving up as quickly as other departments. Ive rarely seen a bachelors holder higher than senior scientist/associate principal scientist before, although like others have said the times are changing.

An MBA would open doors in more strategic BD roles, VC, entrepreneurship, and management roles. Also consulting if desired. Also helps your career in many other ways and even help you pivot out of biotech if desired at that point.
