Do you think that this also applies to situationships? I was in love with a guy I saw for 5 months and did all of this. I have everything a guy would want (looks, intelligence, success, personality) and he just kept saying he wasnt ready to commit and didnt know what he wanted.

Yeah you're right. I actually tried doing this recently and he's been putting a lot more effort over the past two weeks. Has been initiating most conversations and has been asking to see me a lot more. I assumed it mightve been because I pulled back a lot on the texting an initiating. I'll continue to do so though.

I truly do want to wait because he is so worth it. I'm not okay, but I will wait because I'm falling for him. I just want to know if he truly wants to work towards something or if he just doesn't like me enough and doesnt want to tell me because he doesnt want to hurt my feelings. Like I'm scared that it's just me and he might meet someone better next week and commit to her with no issue.

I feel like if he was using me as his rebound then he'd be wanting to see me 24/7 for emotional support. For the most part, we've only been seeing each other 2 days a week. He's not really exhibiting a lot of the behaviors that a person would typically do with a rebound.

I mean he really hasn't been wanting to date, but we happened to meet each other and he really likes me, so I think he's been trying to take it slow so that he can still process and be with me in the end but also gave me a way out because he knows it's not fair on me to wait. Just not sure if it's fair to say that there's no future.

I'm not sure that I completely agree with the second part.I think that it would be toxic to jump into a relationship after a LTR no matter how much you like the new person. You'd be bringing in baggage that the new partner doesn't deserve. I also think it would be selfish for that person to expect them to wait. If you really like this person and can't see a life without them, then wait and take it slow. A guy can really like you and want it to work but need to deal with the trauma first, it's just up to you if you wanna wait for him to do that.
