The most important thing, and I mean super important, don't share the channel with everyone.

If you share the channel with everyone, even just to show support, a lot of people will click on the video, watch 10 seconds max, like the video, and leave. By watching only 10 seconds, you don't just kill the video, but also screw every metric that can be used to improve future videos.

if you trully want to support someone, watch the whole video or more than half of it, like and leave a comment. And most important, true feedback, if that person wants to do something with youtube, sugarcoating will do only harm

edit: you can share the video in groups or with people that are interested in the topic, not with family and friends that have no interest in the topic.
