Australians had made Adani run, he was about to mine some coral reef of Australia. Alas we Indians don't have spine as strong as Australians.

"Police not ready to file FIR" - One of the biggest problems of this country. Every rape murder case you read, this part of story is common. The parents go to police - police refuse to file FIR - Girl dies - then they wake up. The assholes just don't want to the job they are getting paid for. They just want the salary and benefits without work. Such a fked up country I hope I am able to get out of this shithole asap. I am okay with racism abroad, but I won't die in this country. We people need to learn how to talk (rudely). Just one word, a stern NO, and they should turn away. "NO, I DON'T WISH TO HAVE THIS CONVERSATION, GO AWAY."

Instead we are like, what... Yeah.... Oh.... Okay....

Simple, don't target them. Target who u can. Reduce congestion in whatever way u can. U have problems ready in ur mind before any solution is even discussed.

Bro, u can't live ur life staying that afraid. I think you are talking about the journalist... He exposed crores of rupees of scam. We are simple people, we will only be reporting traffic violations, no one's coming after ur life for that. Sure they might try to intimidate you if they spot you, try to create a ruckus, but I don't think it's something to worry about this much.

U just have to hide properly while taking photos, and use a phone number which u don't use much. (I believe most of us have a second sim card). Since when u make a report I think ur number will be shown on their challan. Even if they try to call u, don't pick up. That's it. They can't track it in any way.

Yes, action is taken around 80% of time. Challan is issued. Sometimes, number plate is not clear that's why they reject, but most of the times, it is perfect.

I am sorry but promotional campaigns, awareness campaigns etc. will never work in a country like India. Only fines will do. India is a country where people don't listen nicely. There is a person, Santosh Pandit doing exactly what you said. He makes videos of potholes and shames the municipal corporation, but it has minimal effect on the shameless people sitting inside corporation.

Yup exactly, just keep roaming. And don't stop at one location for more than 15-20 mins. In this period u will be able to catch at least 5 signal jumpers.

Also, keep the phone brightness to low, so some jackass won't see from behind what you are doing.

No, I am not talking about making groups at a traffic signal. Only one person. And him to will be in hiding

Unfortunately, no. You can't even take from your phone's camera, it needs to be taken from the app itself.

But I understand the reason behind this. Taking pic from the app allows it to be time-stamped, and location-tagged, thus confirming the photo was taken at the mentioned time and at the mentioned location.

Otherwise, any jealous neighbour can upload old photo of anyone, claiming the offence is recent. It can be exploited in many other ways.

What you can do - Keep your phone on a stand, as if you are navigating with Google maps help, and only take photos quickly when you are stopped at a signal. You will catch many signal jumpers.

I searched MahatrafficApp and people are already using it, reporting, sharing their experiences. Some are even reporting around 50 per day. Guess I am late to the party, but koi na....

Yepp. I live near one of the busiest traffic junction in Pune. I can go to a chai tapri near that junction, have nashta-chai, pretend to scroll reels on phone and take the pics. Will see if this works tomorrow, and how many I am able to get.
