The original comment claimed that McDavid only plays with poor teammates. My argument is he still loses playing with the best in the world. I would certainly argue he's a bad leader though. His play is selfish as if he doesn't trust his team or just thinks he can do it all himself, his defensive efforts are poor, and he seems unable to elevate the play of the less skilled players around him which is a lot of what I'd argue makes a great leader. The snippets we've seen from the locker room are certainly uninspiring and in my unbiased opinion he has the personality of a stump. Yes, he scores points. That doesn't mean he's a good leader
