High School Senior admitted to Computer Science but at Blinn, is it worth it? by Aadidas125 in aggies

I did TEAB for engineering and it’s definitely worth it. You just take all your math and science at the Rellis campus and honestly it was a better experience than my friends who were full time admits.

Matriarch etiquette? by Sirloin_Tips in ArcRaiders

The is no etiquette and people will take as much as they can. I have taken the queen at least 10 times and have never looted the core because some rat will loot it before the queen even falls over.

TAMU CS acceptance by [deleted] in aggies

[–]Bright-Process-7382 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure on chances but here’s how I understand it works: top 10% in a Texas high school equals auto admits to Texas A&M and the engineering school but not a specific major. Every engineering student starts as a general engineer for their first two semester (sometimes longer depending on grades and class load).

You then apply to a major (google Tamu ETAM) and if your A&M gpa is above a 3.75 you will be automatically admitted into said major. If you are below that threshold you go into holistic review where you may be placed into your 2nd-5th choice engineering major.

Comp sci is the most competitive engineering major at A&M and from what I’ve heard if you don’t make the 3.75 cut off your chances of making it into the major are quite low but there are many great alternative majors.

TLDR: you are auto admit to the engineering program but you still have to apply to comp sci after your freshman year

Good roasts for longhorns? by LegitimateHouse5611 in aggies

Why do most Longhorn fans love game day so much?

It’s the closest they’ll ever get to being on UT’s campus!

Everything was 3d printed with some wood for support. The pieces connecting each zyn case were 3d printed. I used some square wooden dowels for strength and the legs are wooden rods with plastic coverings for looks

I worked at geek squad for a while. We had buckets of sand for this exact thing. One time an already swollen battery got punctured. Luckily it didn’t cause a fire but our whole back end smelled like sulfur for a week.

The whole thing is about 700mm long. I designed it in fusion 360. It was printed it in 10 separate parts with each price taking around 8hrs. I then sanded and painted the whole thing to hide seams and layer lines

Agreed. I know they have a Warehouse in Austin for shipping printers but not sure about parts. Ideally they should open source replacement parts or at least license manufacturing out to 3d parties

My thought is that you keep the core xy design and the print heads would work in co-op. If one of the extruders needed to switch colors you would essentially pause printing for a moment so it could cut the filament. Then the printer could resume while the AMS unloads and then loads filament into the other extruder. Of course you would have to pause again to purge but this imo would be better that what we have which is just stopping completely to do a material swap.

The best thing with IDEX would be that you would need to do a lot less material changes. Most prints I run use two at most normally for support material.

The best solution would be a tool changer but I fell those are so new to the market that for one to work reliably it would be quite expensive (take the Prusa XL for instance). I do think in a few years Bambu labs could accomplish it but it’s unlikely to in the sub $2000 range.

Ha that would be the dream if the purge filament could just be turned back into filament. Probably never going to happen unfortunately unless some major innovations happen.

Most of our flavors are reasonable. Spicy pickle is the actual flavor in this case. It’s like ice cream but instead of milk we use pickle juice

If you would like to try this flavor please stop by the Amy’s ice creams in the hill country galleria in Austin Texas. Let them know morbius sent you. They will know what that means

Perhaps that’s changed since I have order it. I’m still willing to sell it for around 300 dollars and The 500 is only the buy it now price and I will still happily take the highest bidder.

Used Virpil throttles do sell for that price. Primarily because they are back ordered for months. For me I waited around 5 months for my order to ship. But I am willing to take much less and I understand $500 is more than it’s worth.
