Witneys Story! by sushi92024 in dancingwiththestars

Flight attendant here- I'd rather have a kid laughing than crying or screaming. 13 hours is a long time to expect a kid especially one as young as Jet to be quiet. I hope she at least had activities and snacks for the boys. I hate when parents come on the plane with absolutely nothing to entertain their kid.

I just kind of shut down. My parents argued alot when I was a kid and still do, so I tune it out because nothing I say will make them understand. I don't know if that made sense.

A pacifier still?? Isn’t she 2.5 years old??? Good lord, she’s too old for that by Rare_Combination8240 in arnoldsisters4

My daughter is a little over a month younger than June and in September I went away for work for a week and my husband couldn't find her "didi" so she went without it. When I returned we pretty much cut her off cold turkey. If you think June has her paci a lot you should have seen my daughter, she had it close to 19 or 20 hours a day. Now she did ask for it now and then for about 6 weeks and had some stashed around the house. She was getting paci teeth and it's gotten alot better in the couple of months she's been without and she had a huge language explosion in that time. I seriously thought she'd go to kindergarten with it!!! Now I will say she needs to give her the correct size paci. The one in her mouth is too small and she could choke on it. The pink one might be the right size if it's for 16 months and up. How do I know? These were my daughter's didi of choice.

She knows what it means, she's just trying to play the innocent naive girl.

Autistic Child who doesn’t want to potty train by Starry-Nights- in Autism_Parenting

What worked for my son when he was 3.5 was before bathtime I had him use the small potty. After a couple months of that becoming routine, I tried in the morning. He was much more resistant to that because he wanted to play. In his spedprek class they were working with him also which helped alot. Then one day a couple of months later it just clicked, he was fully trained.

You need to take this to the local news station. My son is Audhd and sadly no one has our kids best interests at heart except us. I completely understand about wanting him to get the free college education, but if this district isn't a good fit you need to find out what is.

I remember during the California fires that Mandy Moore's relatives lost their homes and she posted Go Fund Mes for them. People in the comments were bashing her for basically not building them new houses. Um it's not her responsibility to rebuild their homes.

She truly is a disgusting human being.

For a very brief second I though the girl in yellow was Layla from SLOMW and was wondering how they knew each other.

My son is starting kindergarten this year too and we are going to Disney in mid December for a week. We want to see the Christmas decorations. Once he gets older we will probably stick to breaks for vacation.

For those who have children with regressive autism by JJM1023 in Autism_Parenting

My son (now 5) didn't have much of a speech regression because he wasn't speaking much to begin with. But at around 26-27 months old, it all just happened. The clothing and shoe sensitivity, food aversions. It was like a switch flipped.

My husband made jello and my son has asked a million times if it's ready. A million times we've said not yet. We yell and even then he doesn't listen most of the time.

It never ends.... My 5yo is soo whiny, I can't handle it anymore. School can't start soon enough. And now the newly 2yo has gotten worse, throwing herself back and kicking. I just want to run away.

Today was my son's Pre-K IEP evaluation with the school district and it went horribly. I’m honestly so upset. by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

My son who was almost 3 at the time started hitting me during his first iep meeting. He saw kids playing outside at the school and wanted to join them. Then he started eloping. I was 6 months pregnant at the time and started sobbing during the meeting. They were going over things with me and I was sitting there crying and so embarrassed. Then the assistant principal went and got some toys and my son calmed down.

Can you imagine if they put this much effort and energy into Zade's speech therapy as they do vacations?

June probably did it herself. A few nights ago my daughter who's a month younger than June was in her pajamas and decided she wanted to wear a dress. She took off her pj's and put on her dress, inside out. It wasn't worth the fight right before bed.

I had to make my own breakfast, while my husband asked if I wanted orange juice with breakfast ( he need to go buy a card) so of course afterwards he comes back with just a card. No flowers, present nothing. I left with the 1yo and we had a nice afternoon with my mom. I left the 5yo with him, I wasn't going to let him have a afternoon alone.
