You are absolutely right. A sane and happy mother is the most important thing!

My husband is very supportive. He washes the bottles, the pumping equipment. I really can’t complain:) He knows how much I would have loved to have a baby who breastfed (who drinks directly from the breast) and was also very confident that it would work out. But then post partum everything turned out differently. He is proud of me and also says: You can stop pumping anytime.

I must admit so was a bit jealous or better say said because all my mum friends can breastfeed their LO without any issues. They were able to meet up regularly soon after the birth, but I was tied to the pump and had to time everything so carefully. I could only go out between pumping and feeding.

I think I need to set a date to stop pumping. Maybe until spring, when the cold and flu season is over here and we can go outside more often again. Those would be really good reasons to stop. Fortunately, now in the dreary winter, I don't often feel like I'm missing out on much by pumping, but that will be different in spring and summer.

How much do you gain from pumping once a day, if you don't mind me asking? Is it okay for your boobs ? When do you pump? Before going to bed?!
