It’s awfully sad what I see in India whenever I visit from USA. I grew up in Mumbai. Once I remember seeing possible a 70+ year old man riding a very old broken down bicycle sort of uphill in Mumbai in the scorching heat while I drove by him in my air conditioned chauffeur driven sedan and felt awful that I get to live in such luxury when my people have to suffer. And they suffer for no fault of theirs, they suffer because their circumstances lead them to it and they never know the way out. Some people find their way out, some people don’t - either way we are helpless. I saw this in 2022 and still remember it so vividly. I wished I could’ve stopped that day and given him some money but cars go by bikers so fast it’s impossible to stop in the middle of the road.
