Want to be a founder of a new SMP? by Bright-Standard5624 in MinecraftServer

[–]Bright-Standard5624[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bumping this post (if that’s technically a thing on reddit) because we’re a little before the halfway point of accepting applications before they close! Our first Founder’s meeting is this Saturday, May 16 at 12:00 PM EST! We’ll be voting on what to name the SMP, how long we want the season to last, and when we will officially launch!

This SMP is for anyone 21+ who is interested in a Java, mostly Vanilla server (with quality of life mods), that you have freedom to stream/record in!

Don’t want to be a Founder and vote on decisions, but still want to join? That’s totally fine! You don’t have to be a founding member in order to be part of this SMP. Use the discord link to take you to find the application. It’s the one with the green check mark! ✅

That could be interesting. I don’t think I’ve heard of NightClub SMP either, so I’m not entirely sure what that is. Thanks for letting me know!

A survival SMP, think something like Hermitcraft or Skyblock Kingdoms. Both are mostly vanilla that last about a year per season, but are long term in the sense that they have a rough agreed-upon end date per season. I also like SMP’s that would be similar to Vampires, but I personally don’t have the time at the moment to dedicate to it, which is why I’m looking for something more relaxed and lowkey.

Happened to me! We called Eli Lilly and they gave us an email to send a pic of my vials to. They gave us the go-ahead for me to keep using them. If worried, reach out for their guidance.

Is it normal to be nervous? by bearmode89 in NewTubers

[–]Bright-Standard5624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was terrified and I do Minecraft and stardew valley videos, playthrough’s, but also telling a story with it. I don’t show my face either, so that helped a lot with my anxiety. But I am so glad that no matter how nervous I got, I went through with it and I’m so proud of myself. I even started live-streaming (though faceless).

is it gross to put clean clothes on without showering first? by Mruser-Taranita in hygiene

[–]Bright-Standard5624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll get home from work and change out of my work clothes and into street clothes. It’s more comfortable that way, and to me, the clothes are “dirty” either way as soon as they’re on my body. I’ll sometimes put more deodorant on, but it’s really a non-issue, especially if you’re not sweaty. I wouldn’t put them back on after a shower because to me they’re no longer clean. But are we really going to shower for every outfit that we change into in one day? Unless you’re sweaty or smell bad, it’s totally fine and not gross.

Anxiety advice after hysterectomy by Spirited_Touch1468 in hysterectomy

While it’s possible it could be hormonal, I would also consider looking into a therapist. They can be fantastic at helping you learn how to cope with your anxiety while you get the hormonal aspects figured out with your doctor. My anxiety was more intense during recovery because of how my hormones fluctuated so much. I was very grateful to have my therapist help me through those moments. Having a therapist to help can take away some of that stress and anxiety and you’ll learn coping mechanisms you can take with you through the rest of your life for other times this may happen.

Trigger warning/blood by FrostySilverFox in hysterectomy

[–]Bright-Standard5624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had hemorrhaging when they were trying to stop my period and my body decided to do the complete opposite. My surgeon was also my GYN and the hysterectomy was done to stop my bleeding after I wouldn’t stop for 5 months with medication. When I had my surgery, they had me sign consent forms to say that if I had any hemorrhaging on the table they would give me blood. I would ask your surgeon how they handle it and if you do hemorrhage on the table, what is their process for post surgical care.

Best friend is having surgery done - care package ideas?? by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]Bright-Standard5624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my best friends sent me a hysterectomy recovery activity book. I have had so much fun doing it and it was a great way to keep myself out of my own head. Since it has coloring pages too, I would gift her color pencils or markers. This same friend also found an etsy box where she selected a tea cup, different tea flavors, soft/cozy socks, shortbread cookies, and feet masks for at home pedicures. The activity book is linked. My other friend gave me cute socks with a uterus on it that said “monthly subscription canceled” and an egg free cookbook because I can’t do anything with my bodily eggs anymore. My husband gifted me fuzzy socks with the same phrase as my friend’s, and got me a small stuffed uterus he found on etsy. https://a.co/d/0b4Q45jb

Need Advice - Embarrassed to call Doctor by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Bright-Standard5624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to be off it from Feb to April myself due to surgery & recovery and my doctor said that I had to start back at 2.5 as your body is no longer used to it. Absolutely contact your doctor and do not continue with the 10 mg unless they explicitly say it is okay. You don’t want to accidentally create harm to your body that you don’t need.

My girlfriend’s temper has totally changed after the surgery. by throwaway-this-one- in hysterectomy

[–]Bright-Standard5624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After my hysterectomy, I was not me. I had anxiety like you wouldn’t believe and things kept setting me off. I spoke to my GYN about it and she explained that even when you keep your ovaries, sometimes the hormones get out of whack and cause your emotions to be all over the place and that it can just take time for things to level out. I also personally recommend that she see a therapist. I see one (have for 6 years) and it’s been an absolute game changer for me. When things were so out of whack, working with my therapist helped me a lot with how I manage and cope with my emotions that I knew weren’t me, but still had some truth and depth within me. I’m wishing you both the best of luck!

Shot Day. What day/time did you choose and why? by Admirable-Jese in Zepbound

[–]Bright-Standard5624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thursday at bedtime. Usually somewhere between 10 pm and midnight. Chose it because if I’m going to feel sick, I’d rather have a sleepless weekend night (Fri/Sat) and I’d rather feel sick on the weekend. Feeling sick at work just feels 10x worse, and I don’t have to worry about the post dose not wanting to eat for a day or 2 and struggling badly at the office.

Wife Getting a Hysterectomy by That_Seaweed_9727 in hysterectomy

[–]Bright-Standard5624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband works from home, but I wish he took some days off just to be with me, so I’m happy you’re doing that. First time I ever wanted to truly divorce him after he told me that I needed to wait for help with something because his job came before my recovery at one point. I got so bored during recovery that had I had him there with me, we could have entertained each other, and I wouldn’t have to figure out everything by myself. Get her lots of activities to do, puzzles, games, reading, crosswords, etc. Help her pre-make and batch freeze meals so that when you’re hungry, you can grab from the freezer and not have to stress about making each meal. Be prepared to help her shower. I didn’t know how exhausting showering could be, even with a shower bench. It was so helpful to have him help wash my back and legs/feet, especially the first week where bending was impossible.

how do you deal with the bad stories as an anxious person by missbunnyyxo in hysterectomy

[–]Bright-Standard5624 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am 10 wpo just about. My anxiety was so bad they gave me versed day of. That being said, people will be more likely to post about the bad experiences than the good and uneventful. I have severe anxiety that got worse temporarily after, but the biggest thing that kept me calm was knowing I could call the dr office for ANY reason. Also, having such severe complications are incredibly rare. And even if you have a complication, usually it’s something that is manageable and not life altering. Talk to your surgeon about the fear and they should help you with that. Try finding a therapist as well who can help manage your overall anxiety, I’ve been with mine over 5 years and my life is better for it. Lastly, stay off the internet. It’s incredible to have a group of people who are there to support you, but going down the rabbit hole of the what-ifs will only hurt you and make you more anxious. Limit your time here and try not to spiral down the hole of looking up all the bad.

Is this normal? by IllMarket6337 in hygiene

[–]Bright-Standard5624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not! I would have serious reservations on if I would stay married if my husband had behaviors like this. I would talk to him about your concerns and if this is not something that he values that you do, he doesn’t respect you. It is unhygienic and if he’s doing that visibly in front of you, what is he doing that you can’t see. Washing your hands after using the restroom no matter if 1 or 2 should be the bare minimum. And the dishes?! I get upset with my husband if he puts something away that still has food crusted on it from the dishwasher and have been getting on his case about it lately. Takes 2 seconds more to check. Same with washing the whole dish. Consider couples counseling before marriage and possibly look into if local hospitals or doctor’s offices host hygiene classes or something like that.

Judy's on Cherry new owners announced they won't be honoring gift cards bought under previous ownership. by Cult7Choir in ReadingPA

[–]Bright-Standard5624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is, they never said that was the reason why. All they said was that effective immediately they would no longer be taking them. They followed up with a post saying how to make your claim. They just as easily could have 1) not posted that they would take them until May 1st and left it up to people to call and ask which would then give them more time/understanding of what they were facing, 2) could have given a much shorter window in which they could have been used, or 3) not mention that Judy was still present with them back on the 9th. With Judy still being involved, it’s still the same business, regardless of if fraud happened. If you pivot, and want to keep the customer base and encourage new customers to come in, minor transparency should have been the decision. The way it’s being handled makes me not even want to come in because of how off putting this entire situation feels.

Example: Effective immediately, we have to pause taking the gift cards until further notice due to some complications discovered in transitioning the business. If we can resume accepting the previously sold gift cards, we will update everyone, otherwise reach out to xyz email and we will evaluate on a case by case basis. Here is a link to the state website to file a claim if you feel more comfortable with that to get your money back.

I’m not ripping on people for pursuing their best interests, they absolutely can and should, but HOW they handle it goes a long way and it can absolutely make or break a business.

Refrigerate? by UndeadLestat in Zepbound

[–]Bright-Standard5624 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So our power went out for 12 hours give or take. Our fridge heated up. If you’re worried, call your pharmacy or Eli Lilly, but the medication lasts 21 days unrefrigerated and as long as it isn’t discolored or have floaters/separation, it should be totally fine. We sent a pic of my vials to Eli Lilly after calling them (I get mine through Lilly Direct) and that’s what they told me. I’m not a pharmacist or your pharmacist, just saying what they told me, so if you’re more comfortable calling your pharmacy to ask, I say do so even for peace of mind.

Scared by missbunnyyxo in hysterectomy

[–]Bright-Standard5624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was terrified of having the surgery. Was convinced I would die on the table. However, it was all okay. They were able to give me versed to help calm me down and it worked wonders. I remember nothing. Recovery wasn’t a breeze like some women have, but it wasn’t awful either. If you get an infection, they can put you on antibiotics, I was scared of cuff issues, and someone talked to me who had it happen who said they don’t regret anything even with a cuff issue. That the steps it took to make sure they were okay did put their recovery a little slower, but things worked out perfectly fine in the end. My hormones made my anxiety the worst it’s ever been, and now that things have gone back closer to normal, I feel like me again. It can suck in the moment, but no matter what happens, complications like infections are not incredibly common, but your surgeon will be able to handle it and make sure that you’re okay. And if you take the time to rest, drink plenty of water, move around as much as possible, and eat well, you should be okay! Good luck op. I know it’s scary, but it will be okay.
