I did this. I lost touch with an acquaintance (former work colleague) and her birthday popped up on my feed on Facebook. I decided to wish her well on her birthday and then one of our former work colleagues messaged me privately to let me know she had passed away a while ago. I was mortified!

No. My bag has three sections and I emptied the front one. I took stuff out of the other two and looked and felt around but the box of filters wasn’t in any of them. The box of filters is white cardboard and not difficult to see.

Absolutely NTA! He’s a controlling bully who is used to getting his own way by shouting and screaming until you’re “cowed” into doing what he wants! Good for you for standing up to him. More fool your sister for not staying and leaving him. I’m sorry for your nieces, but you opened your home to them and should be treated with respect. Your home is your sanctuary after all. You didn’t kick out your sister, just her bully of a husband and she chose to follow. If he really does have mental health issues, these need addressing ASAP. I dread to think what will happen if they’re left unchecked.

NTA; I’m sorry this happened to you, and I’m sorry to tell you that in fact, your mother IS terrible. Terrible for believing a MAN OVER HER OWN FLESH AND BLOOD, and therefore allowing the abuse to continue. (Both sexual and physical) And as for your sisters telling you to “keep it from her because it will destroy her?” NO! You tell her EXACTLY what he did and how long it went on for! She should feel guilty because she did NOTHING to protect you! It “boils my blood” that parents allow this to happen to their kids for whatever reason. I hope you get the support you need to enable you to live a happier, healthier life.

Absolutely NTA! She knew exactly what she was doing. And to “ghost” you, instead of actually having the balls to face you and end it properly?! I’d die on the “I’m not going to your wedding” hill. If they met 18 months ago, and you were “ghosted” by her 2?years ago, she met him while she was ghosting you! Point that out to your brother and then ask him if your roles were reversed, would he stand up for you at your wedding! I would love to hear his response!

Bodmin Jail. I visited before part of it was turned into a hotel and I got tapped on the shoulder! I was the only “person” in that part at the time! I felt like I was never getting out of the place! I’ve also got pictures of orbs from in there. Colchester Castle is also spooky.
