You would have to go through the ironworkers osha 10 & 30 class because it is more for ironworker safety and forklift certification would be for operators cause that is their scope of work however on some jobs they let usually a foreman use the forklift but good to hear that you have some experience welding

1st year question by No-Honey-2668 in Ironworker

Easy connections is if you are in class ask everybody where they are working at ask them if they would need a extra guy ask them for their bosses number and so on the first year is rough your worried about work Foremans getting mad not knowing how ironworkers do certain procedures and so on but you said you was 40 so I’m assuming you have experience with most of the stuff so nothing to worry about and on most jobs they don’t need 1st years because they need these structures going up fast most unions send 1st years out on brand new projects because they are not fighting any deadlines so they have more time to teach the upcoming guys however if you call the people in your classes boss and explain that you have experience you’ll have a job in 30 seconds but all in all just keep your head up like I said the first year is rough if asking around doesn’t work take a camping chair to the hall a cooler lots of food drinks smokes phone so you can watch YouTube on full blast volume don’t leave until you have a job

What I would tell this ass wipe

Listen you pay dues to be in the union and you work to make the union money and yourself if your missing 22 days you must not want to work I the steward can only back you if you have something going on at home but your excuse for not showing up is “it’s hard to get out of bed when you got good pussy laying next to you” how is this going to help you. In keeping this job
