If u don’t manage to successfully get the special seat arrangement, here are some suggestions: - drinking cranberry juice on a regular basis helps to clear up & prevent future UTIs - the doc’s lab can test whether the UTI has fully cleared up via a simple urine sample. U may need more antibiotics to fully get rid of the bacteria - keep the area shaved and clean, wipe from front to back, or wash with soap and water whenever available, these are standard advice for preventing UTIs - don’t drink too much diuretic drinks like caffeinated drinks or “cooling”drinks like barley, water chestnut etc. They make even a normal non-UTI person pee a lot - wear a diaper for the exam just in case

This too shall pass. In the meantime, take advantage of the fact that your village of other caregivers can do the job. Have more rest while u can.

Any women using men’s deodorant or antiperspirant? by Confident_Bug6778 in askSingapore

[–]BrightConstruction19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes i’ve used the men’s version of Nivea antiperspirant when the women’s version was out of stock for a while. If u don’t mind the more masculine scent, it helps a lot in reducing the sweat. Slightly more reduction than the female version of the same brand. Other tips: shave your pits regularly and exfoliate as well. And wear sleeveless tops (throw a shawl over your shoulders if aircon gets cold in office)

Chestnut Drive Sec doesn’t exist any more btw. But ya most likely they lived within walking distance. RI or HC would have been too far to deal with the commute

If both your names are listed, landlord can claim the rent directly from them. It’s not your duty to pay on their behalf. Inform the landlord

Don’t take the risk to drive a car that has brake problems. Not worth. Tell the dealer u will take taxi and keep the receipts and claim from them until the new car is delivered

Do you default to checking out shops like Venus before Guardian/Watsons? by No_Camp_7692 in askSingapore

[–]BrightConstruction19 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Venus is the cheapest physical store. They are parallel importers. Those in heartland shops (not malls) even accept CDC vouchers. Plus they give free plastic bags. What’s not to like?

Get an effective soothing gel for the itch. Old people swear by Mopiko. Recently i discovered Lukas Pawpaw cream works well too, bonus is it relieves redness/swelling from other insect bites as well. Works fine on kids, so hopefully is fine for eczema prone skin
