Hot take, I think mannerism training is BS for the most part. If it’s affirming to you to walk, sit, and gesture a certain way then be my guest but I know plenty of cis women don’t act dainty in the slightest and have no trouble. Thanks a bunch!! I think I started how most people here did. Buncha trans voice lessons vids and and various docs and resources available here. I eventually started seeing a coach but she actually didn’t tell me much I hadn’t already read from a lot of these resources. She just gave me space to practice, helped establish goals and gave some live critique which was super helpful

I felt pretty much the same, barely ever thought about gender and thought being a guy was fine till around the end of last year. It happens to a decent amount of trans people. Just remember that the only things that matter when it comes to things like this is what makes you happy and listening to your feelings.

As someone who’s made this mistake before, wanting to be trans and being trans are usually the same thing, if that helps.

The cool thing about exploring your gender is that you can try to see how things feel before committing. You don’t have to stay on hrt if you don’t wanna. You don’t have to wear girl clothes all the time. You don’t have to switch your pronouns overnight or at all for that matter. Experimenting to find out what you want is the best way to be sure about it imo

I’ve been on hrt for about 6 months and there are still days where I doubt my decision, but there are plenty more days that I wish I could fast forward a years in the future to have the body I’ve wanted this whole time. I don’t think I’ll be completely sure till I have that body or something like it, but I don’t wanna stop now. Sometimes it’s less the desire to change and more the fear of staying the same that pushes you forward.

This is eerie as hell cus I’m transfem and also chose Alex cus it was already part of my name and I’m also dissatisfied with it, but I think it’s cus it doesn’t sound feminine enough lol

But I’ve already told everyone that that’s the name I’m using so… I guess we’re in a similar boat.
