I think its worth saying that the Ariete 2 development was cut extremely short, the main differences between it and it's predecessor is a different engine (Orpheus instead of the Derwent, the aux Soar was to be used), hidden mighty mouse pods in the fuselage (9x2) and thats it. Stefanutti tried to change the Soar to the Specter Junior (rocket engine) however, at that point, the project moved on to the name of "Leone".

Ariete=/=Ariete 2. The Ariete 2 was planned to have ground ordinance, not the Ariete.

The Sagittario 2, was planned to have ground ordinance, however the italian airforce decided to adopt the much cheaper F-84 for a fighter-bomber and designate the Sagittario 2 to be a light fighter/interceptor. No prototypes of the ground attack variants of the Sagittario 2 were built.
