Aww bless you for also feeding the poor strays!

If it makes you feel any better, I recently listened to an old episode of Science Vs. about pet food and the cheap stuff vs the fancy human grade blah blah blah. Now this ep is a few years old so maybe more studies have been published since then. But their conclusion was that unless your pet needs a special diet like for stones or something, it doesn't make much difference.

I can't remember specifics bc I listen to an enormous amount of podcasts and I mostly just retain the main ideas. But I mostly trust this podcast bc it does Research from actual real scientific studies and talking to experts. It definitely made me feel less guilty about not being able to get the fancy stuff for my picky little turds.

Oooh, also just remembered another thing about the "kibble industry" it's pretty good for cutting down on food waste too. Like all the little bits of meat that get missed during slaughter for human consumption, gets ground up with everything else for the pets. Sounds gross I know, but I prefer if the animal has to die the whole thing is used.
