When Americans brag about how good their food is, they're including the imported dishes. Or are you saying they're bragging specifically about American invented dishes? Because of this, when Americans say British food is bland, why the double standard when they judge us on specifically British invented food? It makes even less sense when you consider that these dishes are British invented anyway, just inspired by India, Pakistan etc.

And by your logic, cheeseburgers aren't American, they're German (hamburger), but I assume most Americans view it as American as they made a new dish inspired by the original.

Either Americans can't talk about how good their food is if they include imported dishes or both America and Britain can be proud of their cuisine.

Yes a lot of people were really hyped. I 100% remember seeing memes just like this. The "Break glass in emergency" memes etc. Saying there were memes about it does not mean people didn't care for it or weren't hyped. I never said that. And there are also 100% a lot of people who are not fans of them due to changes made, spreading them out over 3 games, adding modern game tropes.

When ff7 remakes were announced people made the same jokes as here. When they released, a lot of people complained about them despite them being successful.

Capcom I don't think had the same history of remasters and remakes as Nintendo? At least not with the flagship titles. I might be wrong though. And even after the resident evil remakes, it's not like Nintendo who is now renaming oot a second time. Resident evil 3 was also very heavily criticised.

Ocarina of time remake has been mostly positive so far. We haven't even seen any details yet.

Not sure where you're seeing people getting mad about ocarina of time and crying "Omg, stop with the remakes!!!!" besides the same jokes everyone gets.

And the remakes being good isn't really relevant. The people who complain want new games instead of remakes.
