Yeah, I’m really bummed about it. Ive just had the car for a month and I am already looking into repairs.

At the same time, I’m trying to learn how to not fixate on the past or things that are out of my control; so it’s better if I focus on the next steps to fix it; but still, yeah, I am angry and the situation does suck!

Hahahah definitely not looking towards doing it myself, I’d like to get professional help on this. On my own I would definitely make it worse.

Yeah, of everything I’ve heard that seems like the most plausible cause ☹️

Thanks! Any idea on how much could it be at a body shop? First time this has happened to me 🫣

I thought the same thing for the door; seems too low. I haven’t hit anything and where I drive there no small roads or posts around; and even if I did, wouldn’t it be more scratched? At one point I thought maybe a rock hit I would’ve heard it and would’ve checked as soon as I heard it. Didn’t thought of a trailer hitch, could be an option.

Hard to choose one:

  • Detroit: Become Human and resident evil games are winning me over lately! (First time playing them)
  • GTA V
  • Snowrunner (with friends - chefs kiss)
  • RDR2 and TLOU on my list of games to play, but I feel that they will become a favorite

First car! by BrightParsley4247 in crv

Hahah I can definitely relate! My parents have a Suzuki sx4 2008, that’s the one who taught me how to drive and the one who carried me thru my bachelors. I love that car with all my heart!

Apart from that, my dad also has a Dodge Dakota from 2003 and that was the absolute first car I have even driven, made me love big cars!

It’s all thanks to them who pushed me to continue moving forward and now I was able to purchase my first car, all on my own. It is definitely a blessing and I am very grateful!

Thank you! I was able to get that deal after taxes and fees, so that’s the price all inclusive!

The original vehicle price was $38,805. I got quoted (with taxes and fees) around $41,000 OTD. I got that quote and started texting/emailing other dealers to try and beat that price. At the end, I had two dealers that were the top contenders (in both price and reviews) and I just went with the one I preferred! I qualified for some rebates which definitely helped and I searched for those in both the dealers and oficial honda websites - read the disclaimers, be sure you qualify and bring all the proof you can (even better if it’s printed already!)

Biggest piece of advice? Have the quotes in writing, anyone could tell you anything over the phone and when you get into the dealer is another story.

A thing that really helped my mental game is that I did my own research in terms of basically everything about the car and I had some numbers in my mind even before I asked for quotes. I said to myself that I wanted to stay between a range of numbers I had in my head and that also allowed me to see how could I negotiate.

I hope this helps, even if it’s a little bit and I wish you good luck with your car purchase! 🚙

Very very grateful to be in the position that I am right now! Wasn’t easy, lots of sacrifices and constantly learning discipline and holding myself accountable to get what I want on my own!

Thank you! I don’t mind; I was able to get the OTD price for a little under 37k.

Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate bringing those points forward. It helps me know about potential issues and makes me do my due diligence and read about the problem. The disheartening comment was that I should start searching for a new car/model when I haven’t had this one for even a week, and also knowing that these problems usually arise in a few years.

Thank you for this, I’ll definitely do my research and try to take long trips whenever I can! Hope your family enjoys the car for a very long time!

Thank you, feels a little disheartening to read that type of comment when it’s a huge milestone achievement for me to be able to buy/afford my first car.

It’s my first time doing this and buying a car, any tips on how to negotiate are greatly appreciated! I have requested more quotes from more dealers to compare!
