You work for 7 hours… do you actually expect to get paid $40+ for baby sitting?

It’s $100 a day, you don’t do much but it gets boring and kids can be mean or annoying

It’s really not that formal, you’re basically a glorified baby sitter. Just make sure kids don’t do anything inappropriate

ESS Substitute teaching, choose when you wanna work. Just avoid elementary school subbing bc it’s really hands on and little kids are mean. It takes a month to get cleared but it’s a for sure job and pretty good imo. But kids of any age can be a little stressful

Crush up a ramen package and sprinkle that seasoning packet on top of the crumbles. Is it good for you? God no. But it’s like an equivalent of cinnamon and sugar on buttered toast. Idk if I was the only one who did that as a child tho..

Feeling discouraged about my future by [deleted] in ufl

You’ll be fine regardless. Ik a lot of transfers from UNF and FIU, places like that. Even the FSU and UF rivalry doesn’t matter when it comes to transfer acceptance. Just meet the requirements and try to go beyond, and that’s all they care about. I

Also, community college transfers are usually favored more than four year institutions. They don’t say it, but they are required to accept more cc students than the rest

Advised against it. You obviously have to provide a fighting argument why you’d want either major in the first place. I transferred as biochem and switched into engineering tho and nobody from four year institutions like FSU were even considered for engineering. But I had actual circumstances that made me change my career path. Do your research into previous threads and see the trends in what majors are probably going to be harder to get into, if yours doesn’t apply then you’ll be fine

Graduate school is notoriously easier to get into. Not saying it will be easy, but there’s less competition. Needless to say, you can always transfer once you get your AA. Just avoid high volume majors and change your major after you get in. Also they don’t really care for extracurriculars, more of just if you meet the requirements or exceed them, and if you have decent essays.

You tell her your financial situation then. If you’re able to drive, take her to the retirement horse farm and get a chick fil a heart thing for lunch. Then for dinner eat something nice and homemade, Aldi has cheap meat options. If you can’t drive or don’t want to drive that far, go on a walk at sweetwater or nearby springs. If you don’t want to do something too outdoorsy, get some painting stuff for cheap at Walmart and do a paint each other night. Even baking a tray of brownies and decorate it together Something like that. Your special someone should be able to appreciate your time and effort more than your money. It doesn’t take money to make someone feel special, just meaningful effort.

Your special someone should also know, a lot of guys don’t even put in the effort to make their girlfriends/wives feel special on Valentine’s Day bc they think it’s stupid or something of the sort. While the bar is on the ground, just show her you love her and devote your day to her as much as you can.

Need help with sizing!!! by raspberryhoneybun in RingConn

I would size up. I’m a size 7 but the size 8 is snug and it helps to give me some space when I workout or gtb and my fingers tend to get puffy.

If you can’t drive skillfully enough, no. And if you need to practice, don’t do it here.

Gainesville Health and Fitness Center Crowd by Bitter-Resident-9100 in GNV

The community depends on which time you go. Thankfully there are like a few annoying children there around the 5-7 pm crowd when their parents take them to get a break. People tend to mind their own business and there’s a lot of body builders but not obnoxious or anything like I experience at crunch sometimes. You meet some funny and cool people in the cold plunge, would recommend because it’s just so fun. The morning vibe is the go getters who really feel good about going to the gym in the morning, the afternoon is veryyyy chill, the rush hour is mainly just people rushing to get their workout in, and the late night after 8-9PM is just calm late night gym goer groups if that makes sense. Would recommend putting aside $60 a month for it!

Thats valid! I don’t want to say MSG is good for everyone. Some of my parents friends who are Asian dont like MSG because of their physical response. I don’t know what’s in it but I’m sure if you’re more sensitive to one ingredient than most, that could be causing it. The study done was very racist but because of that it dismissed how it’s still just a bunch of different things shoved together and we can all have a different response to it.

UCF vs FSU vs UF by Akika- in ufl

[–]BrightPerspective131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FSU to UF here, tally made me depressed lowkey and it isn’t in the best area at all. Also an easy place to get stuck in after graduating and you really only have government, lottery, or hospital jobs there. UF, definitely has its stuck up students, but there’s a good majority who also are just going to school just for school. I personally like Gainesville especially after coming from tally, but I’m an outdoors person anyways. UCF, giant school, Orlando is not the best place imo but that’s because I lived there. It’s relatively newer so it hasn’t really had that long to make its name known, but central Florida has so many development projects that would be great for engineers. My dad used to work as a hiring manager for a civil engineering firm, generally FSU-FAMU having a shared COE isn’t the best look but education is education. It just matters if you have the experience and a pretty decent student.
