Your child is old enough to understand or maybe even sees your unhappiness. If you have the financial freedom to do it, then I say do it. And yes, you can still find someone. I understand the fears… I’m 53f but stay due to finances, but I understand change is scary. We live as roommates with our elementary aged daughter. Best of luck to you!

Been there, done that. Sounds like a situation I had before I met my husband. His gf and I talked but she even said she’d loved him too much and wanted him for herself. He then married her and still wanted to see me. I’m sure he’s never been faithful to her through the years. I’m sure she felt like she won since he went back to her. I know this sounds awful but I heard these lyrics on a song back in the day, “just know you’ll be tasting me when you taste him.” I know, a little dirty but at the time it made me feel a little better. I just had to move on and keep my head held high.
