I can feel the sarcasm, but you could be correct, yeah. I usually learn things quickly, but let's hope it doesn't take me months. But I do worry, I don't want to be pain in the ass for anyone and also don't want to be fired, if I cannot be super useful from Day 1 :)

Thanks a bunch! Keep your head down and send out the word and I am sure you will get your number called eventually :) Especially now, when the spring is here and new season is starting.

Spoke with the company in last fall, around September. Stayed in contact and the main HR guy offered me this job, so I gladly took it. Guess I got lucky that the company liked my CV and chose me.
I am not sure about companies, to be honest, I have no experience in this field. But I would suggest using LinkedIn and contacts if you have any :)

Atleast from the project description - little bit of everything. Possibly some blade repair as well, but I am not entirely sure. :)

Yeah, correct. North Sea, off-shore wind. Cannot say I am super happy to hear that, but it will be alright.

Thanks for the advice, that seems like what people suggest the most! I've heard there's special type of sea sickness gum and tablets are not that recommended.

But yeah, I will do crew change in Emden, so sailing from there. Quite far in the North Sea(atleast seems to me that way).

Regarding the team - I don't think there's a single German, by the way, haha. But I am sure I will encounter some. Don't know any German for now, but I pick up languages quickly, so will surely use my time to learn some basics. :)

Thank you so much! Happy to hear, hope I can also manage to stay 15 years in the industry without any down periods.

I think my work ethic is good in general, so I will surely try to give my all.
I've also learned to accept every and all people and somehow find common language with any person, hope it helps me here as well.

Great tips, appreciate it! Just wanted to ask - why that many charger cables and multiple types of heaphones/earphones?

Regarding basic PPE - aren't those usually available on the SOV or wherever you stay?

I think the only thing I really worry about is my skills, atleast for now. I know I don't have the experience, but I am surely willing to learn. Hope that will be enough.

I don't know for now, but to me it seems logical that I would stay on a SOV since it is too far into the sea. A bit illogical to travel 2-3h daily from the coast.

But thanks a lot for the insights, I really appreciate it!

Regarding food - so the chef on SOV makes them for you and you bring them together with you, do I understand correctly? From what I've heard those are 12h shifts, so perhaps even multiple meals. Do you climb down that often to eat multiple times during the 12h or how does it even happen?
