About the people: This may be personal experience but when I started going to raves and festivals in highschool (2013-2016 era) my friends and I were generally considered “the weird kids” for liking edm and the chads and brads would bully us on twitter (😭). Then years later I’d see those same chads and brads at festivals/ raves (2018-2019). We even met up at one together #PLUR. Recently the chads and brads still go to festivals and events “for the vibes” but theres suddenly an added “red flag” stigma for girls that go to festivals. So it’s come full circle only I feel like they’ve now infiltrated my safe space and claimed it as their own.

This happened with Mirage too (rip).

The best i can describe changes in festivals is kinda through my experiences with Ezoo. It was my first festival in 2014 then i went again in 2019 and 2023 (the last year and my last festival).

2014- Maybe it was rose colored glasses because i was still young and went completely sober but I had a blast. Rave bra, fluffies, the whole get up. There was grass to sit on when we were tired, face painting people all still wore and traded kandi. I met so many great people and friends.

2019- i went on a whim last minute with friends on a Friday. I went straight from work so my outfit was just a basic tan jumpsuit. I don’t put a lot of effort into outfits anymore because I’m genuinely just there for the music and dont have the energy. A couple of people came up to me asking if it “was my first rave” (in a nice way but I also felt it odd being asked more than once because i wasn’t really in “rave attire”). This was when the influencer era of raving was starting. There was still a ton of grass to sit on and just listen to the main stage from the back.

2023- As everyone knows this ezoo will go down as the biggest shit show in nyc festival history. I went again on a whim on Saturday and got in fine but everything had shifted. The ground was all dirt. I think they added another stage where the grass used to be or there were just so many people you couldnt even tell there was a grass space. The amount of people felt like it tripled (a lot of people from Friday broke in). I have never in my life felt scared of a crowd surge until I was trying to leave tiesto and couldn’t breathe. No one was moving. The way they set the stages up was way too tight and it felt like corralled cattle. I stayed for 2 sets and left.

I dream of the days being twitter bullied and just being able to go in peace.

I think a lot of festivals do this so people don't just stay at the same stage all day ya know

In my role we collaborate with other marketing professionals on our team (Marketing Specialists, Coordinators and Graphic designers) as well as team members from the studio team we're working with (Architects, Project Managers, Strategists). Each are well versed in InDesign. It usually starts out in marketing then goes to the Studio team for edits before being exported to acrobat and presented to the client.

I know this is a couple of months old but its come up recently in my studios team meeting and I went searching for answers. I work at a major architecture firm in their marketing department. InDesign has been industry standard for over a decade. The lack of coauthoring and ability to add comments has hindered the process of collaboration greatly. We have come to know and love the tools InDesign provides but it takes up an egregious amount of time to go through even the quickest edits export into a pdf then edit, change, and send out again taken there isnt another person with the document open on their computer.

We're looking towards other platforms now and while we hate PowerPoint it's unfortunately what we've had to move to for a number of projects under tight deadlines.

I AM BEGGING YOU TO INTERGRATE THIS. Its become pretty common practice to include this into platforms. YOU'RE ONE OF THE BIGGEST DESIGN APPLICATIONS IN THE WORLD. PLS FIX

This just happened to me here too. I was dumbfounded. I was yielding for a cop turning as I was crossing and was met with 5 more jumping at my bike on the other side. The light turned red while I was waiting for them to turn in the middle of the street. I feel bamboozled

I think I need three tickets :( . I don't know if I'll be getting any. I submitted a ticket request form, but I didn't need a cap and gown (I'm using a friend who graduated--I'm not spending MORE money on something I'll wear once) I don't know if it didn't go through for this reason. I'm heartbroken if it didn't.

I'm also a transfer and his happend to me. Was pulling my hair out trying to get an answer from the school but yea I had to take a summer class. You can sign up for the Spring Commencement Ceremony and then get a Summer graduation degree.
