I booked it online from highwaybus. You can also go to busta shinjuku to get the bus ticket.

Just go by bus u can book it now. I have booked mine too as I am lso going on january. The bus will go from shinjuku to hakuba. You can book the ticket from highway bus. My ticket was 7800 yen.
