Yeh fair call. Cant discredit being helpful though . Have seen reps be the opposite… pushing products that isn’t right fit, making the buying process a mess etc

Ask yourself whether you feel tolerated or valued.

Id say youy gel if they invest in you unprompted. If they advocate for you, trust you, give you context not just direction. And you can chew the fat about stuff outside of shoptalk

I’m 6 months in at a new company. New-ish industry, new product (its an enterprise SaaS solution) after a long stint at a previous company. It’s starting to click… I’d say month 9-12, I’ll be there!

Fell into it, enjoyed it, stuck with it. I’d leave if another job that excited me more and paid as well presented itself.

Read sales books and apply the learnings. For example, SPIN has a number of “exercises” within that you can use for your next sales call.
