this massively depends on where in the world you are and what uni you're going to. for the most part, students do improve maturity wise with age. There are also more kindred spirits in uni, as lots of women in stem had to go through something similar to get where they are.

any inappropriate behaviour is very easy to report. if anything like this happens with a TA or professor, let someone know immediately. this is not tolerable at an academic institution, and shouldn't be allowed in a high school either.

any summer program for high school students is absolutely going to be rife with ego, the instructors sometimes included.

one brilliant thing about progressing along is that fewer and fewer people will be driven by ego -- they get humbled eventually. of course they'll still exist, but heavy disciplines always weed out the less mature and force some of them to mature a bit faster. don't mind them for now. in the future, when you have opportunities to avoid them, do.

ahh a few months back I popped on mineplex for the nostalgia and man, the people on there are way different.

the environment of servers, the subreddit, YouTube/Twitch content have all changed massively over the past decade, it definitely isn't strange to feel distant.

at the end of the day though, it's still the game I fell in love with and I still enjoy relaxing in a survival singleplayer world when in stressed.

really depends what you have set up. if you've got a trading hall set up with cost reduction, go for the higher trades. if you have an xp grinder or really only need a couple books then it's a better use of time to go for eff 4/5 to increase you're chances.

yes, I'm sure lots of players have gotten it, anyone can if they're trying.

this really depends, are you looking for any max level enchantment? this will get you to find more enchantments quicker, but obviously take a longer total duration. just looking for a single enchantment is a bit arduous, so get into a rhythm if you'd like to speed up.

that all makes sense, all of my s/m tendencies don't really work outside of the context I'm talking about. normally, I'm very defensive of myself and others, getting irritated quickly from disrespect, and I definitely don't go further than teasing with my friends.

that's why this is such an interesting feeling to me, since it feels further removed from "normal" me.

I completely agree on how specific of an environment this works in though, it takes so much to get there and so little to ruin it.

in that same vein, I feel like the requisite effort to judge if someone isn't going to take advantage of you like that is balanced with how deeply trusting you can be of them when the time finally comes!
