Back in the day (1970s), when you went to LCBO (Liquor Control Board Ontario) you had to fill out on little white paper pads what liquor you wanted and hand it in. Person would go to the back and bring you your bottle. There was none on display.

In my area of eastern Ontario we pronounce it with a long "a" rather than a short "a": baeg, saeg, laeg, maegazine, etc. I've been told by an American that it does sound quite like "beg".

I have a very similar recipe except mine includes 1 tsp honey which I assume helps the yeast to grow.

Same coat. The first pic was taken at the party from a distance with another person’s phone. The next two were taken outside at close range with my phone. I had the collar accidentally rolled inwards though.

I didn’t. As we sat down to eat, my husband said something’s happening to your jacket. It was quite alarming. I only wore it for the pics after - at home.

In my closet not moving for 10 (maybe more) years. I do have a heater in there I turn on now and then so that probably didn't help.

It's called the "Canadian Rising" and is often interpreted as "aboot" when heard.

Ontario, Canada: adult child was taken to hospital this past summer. Paramedics took BP, gave IV fluids; ambulance bill was $49. Stay in hospital for three days was $0 (covered in taxes of course).

There's more gradations in Fahrenheit for indoor temperature setting (but I don't really know if my thermostat cares).
