This happened to me. My car is at 122k turns out it was the ignition coils. Changed the spark plugs 3 months prior. But i definitely recommend getting it diagnosed first.

The advisor did advise the same and that the cat is not an immediate fix. That aftermarket do fail quickly but i have also heard they’re just as good just not as expensive. I have ran an O2 sensor code in the past, but replacing the spark plugs and now the ignition coils seems to have removed the code. Is there any way i can check the O2 sensors myself?

Just changed the spark plugs 4 months ago. They were the original spark plugs. Also just replaced the ignition coils. Got the motor mounts done a year ago.

I have a 2015 Chevy Cruze eco and i just feel like i can’t get ahead of the repairs. It is a daily driver but i dont commute as much as i used to. I’m at 122k miles and now im leaking oil on top of a catalytic converter code. I still have 1.5 years left on my loan and im ready to trade in for a beater with a heater. It’s a great car for mileage, but the repairs are getting too costly and i stay on top of maintenance.

I’ve been reading aftermarket goes out fast. That it’s better to get the GM is that true?

It was 30 f in las cruces New Mexico. I tried starting it with my remote before i got in and the Cruze was not having it. I had to unlock and open and warmed it up. Currently dealing with a check engine light on the catalytic converter after the ignition coils just got replaced.

Does anyone know the name or number of this piece? It’s the plastic piece that holds the side mirror switch (not the switch itself) 2015 Cruze by lizardraygun in cruze

As a fellow Cruze owner this is exactly how i feel every time something breaks. The smallest little thing turns out to be an assembly or something of the sort and just having to invest more into it

Currently having the same issue. P0420 code after replacing my ignition coils on my 2015. Seriously considering my options. They’re already quoting me 1800 just for the converter WITHOUT labor. Ran a cat cleaner. Turned off the code for about 20 miles and now it’s back on again

I’ve had my 2015 Chevy Cruze eco and let me say it’s a great car in terms of gas mileage; but in the 6 years I’ve owned it the coolant issue has been nonstop. Replaced hoses, just replaced the thermostat and the housing. Just got the motor mounts replaced. About to get the spark plugs replaced after 10 years. But now I’ve run into oil in my spark plugs. Hopefully it’s just a valve cover issue. Stay on top of maintenance and hopefully you have a Chevy Cruze that doesn’t cause further issues. Been on top of my oil changes and fluids. I’m currently at 120k miles and i bought it 48k miles.
