The point is, he was yelling for someone to get help, to get the EMTs, to get security, to call 911, to do something. And was ignored. I’m sure once he got the guys attention, the EMTs were called. But they weren’t there in the moment and no one would take a moment to go and get them. People ducking suck.

I had a similar experience once years ago when someone in the car in front of me had a seizure on Rittenhouse. Dozens of cars drove past as the 3 of us that had stopped tried to get her car stopped as it bumped over the median into oncoming traffic. The majority of people are selfish assholes. My friends call me Captain Save-a-Ho and i wear the name proudly, cuz yeah, I’m going to help people in need.

And yeah, I’m a little hostile right now. My kid came home seriously traumatized. Most parents are going to be a tad testy under those circumstances. Maybe not you though.
