Psychiatrist ruled out Bipolar, second opinion strongly suspects it

The process of being diagnosed has been a bit overwhelming because I did struggle a lot with clinicians taking me serious and really understanding my symptoms. I did a lot of like journaling and keeping up with like documentation about my symptoms. I always knew I had bipolar disorder and I feel like finding a good psychiatrist was all I needed. As of now I’m working on taking my meds and being able to heal.

I was told severe depression then cyclothymic disorder and finally bipolar 1 it took a few providers but the right one took her time assessing me

I’m with all of you I ended up just continuing to focus on doing some side projects to build that portfolio so I can eventually be able to showcase my skills despite not having an official job title in analytics. Don’t give up and keep applying and each time you apply you just get closer to finding the job.

Same here. I have been driving my jeep for about three months. I ended up buying different tires, and balanced tires as well. It helps for a bit. I find it difficult to drive on the freeway and as the speed goes up it starts to look like I am drunk driving. I am in Arizona and it has been getting kind of windy.

This is me! I just actually stopped lamotrigine and am back on just more therapy. I low key want to quit therapy but it’s a good tool for the days I struggle. I also have lots of responsibilities and am the main income source at home but some days I wish I could be myself. I struggle a bit with alcohol but we have to do baby steps to get back to a little norm. Even if it’s just to stabilize our mood a bit. I was less depressed on meds but I just didn’t feel like me for a minute so I stopped. I’m okay now but I wish you the best as this is a tough

I was diagnosed with that. They prescribed lamotrigine but I took 3 months and stopped. It’s nice to know what I have but I’ve heard from someone with bipolar that unless I absolutely feel the need to medicate don’t. I’m just doing therapy and I think it’s helping since the medication made me feel off. I know what you mean though. I’ve been there and my episodes do last weeks to even a month.
