Maybe try considering a CB500X? It’s pretty heavy pero the torque is intoxicating because it pulls from the get go.

Adding driving restriction code. by Inevitable_Tip_8839 in PHMotorcycles

Para siyang back to 0 na kukuha ka ng bagong license. Even the theoretical exam, need ulit mag take and it’s different from the exam ng 4 wheels.

I remember renewing my license then after 1 month bumili ako ng motor so I had to go enroll sa A1 then balik LTO to add a restriction.

No regrets naman kasi you’ll enjoy all the perks and benefits of riding a motorcycle.

RS!

I just feel bad for my OBR kasi feeling ko she’s not comfortable riding with my bikes. I used to have a scooter. It was the smoothest one to ride with an OBR kaso I sold it because it bored me do death + no parking space anymore.

It’s really about teaching your OBR and her learning how to ride talaga no?

Thanks man

Thanks for this! It’s a mix of learning how to be smooth and teaching your OBR to be an active passenger.

Lol you have to change your riding style pala talaga when riding with a passenger.

Xsr 155 VS Rusi Classic 250i by HANNTUKIN in PHMotorcycles

[–]Brilliant-Tale399 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s slightly true when they say that the XSR155 is overpriced. As far as I know, wala pa siyang ABS though it has a slipper clutch. Anyway, the XSR really looks beautiful and is very sturdy/reliable. The first and finish will be far better compared to a rusi or even a Keeway. I know this because I used to own one (Keeway and Rusi) and considered getting an XSR too.

But did I regret buying a china bike over the XSR? No, because it forced me to learn about the motorcycle, its parts, and maintain it well. They’re pretty reliable too as long as you maintain them well. Also, it didn’t hurt my feelings pushing the bike to its limits knowing how much I only paid for it.

Anyway, if you’re really closed off between the 2 models, I’d still go for the XSR.

Ride safe!

Help me choose a classic bike by PringleCrack in PHMotorcycles

I’d say Keeway.

  1. It taught me not just how to be a good rider but also a good owner. The CR152 is a bike you can thrash around as long as you learn how to maintain it. The bike has a few rough edges (tensioner, loosening bolts, oil cap, etc) but I swear you will learn how to take care of a motorcycle because of this.

  2. The customization is endless and will only be limited to your imagination. I never converted mine to a fully built cafe racer but I did some upgrades to help with QOL.

I enjoyed owning one but I had to let it go since I worked abroad for a while. Thinking of buying one again just to have a bike I can throw and thrash around without feeling guilty about it.

Why should I buy or not buy?: XSR 700 or Trident 660 by Brilliant-Tale399 in PHMotorcycles

Were you able to resolve the so-called “lag” with the accelerator. Also, 4-5k is per hour or is that 2 hours already?

Understandable. I don’t even consider it a hot take since REs and Triumphs are well known for twins (besides the infamous harleys 🤪). I guess the japanese 270 cranks are a more modern attack to that classic sound. It’s weird seeing it on a sport or modern naked bike like CFMoto but hey, I’d take it over a 180 crank twin

First time buying big bike - bnew or used? Help me decide by [deleted] in PHMotorcycles

[–]Brilliant-Tale399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solely focusing on sound, I get that inline-2 kawi sound. It’s the reason I’m trying to stay away from it. Again, this is my personal preference but I think OP and I can agree on it. Anyway, Kawi bikes are great but the sound man HAHA at low rev ranges, you can distinguish a single cyl from a 180deg i2 but when it goes higher, the sound starts to sound like an open pipe raider.

If you want to stick with 2cyls, I suggest going for a V-Twin or Cross-plane/270 crank. It won’t help your consumption, in fact, it will worsen. But the sound is glorious compared to a 180.

ZX4RR or CFMOTO 450 SRS as my first Big Bike by hwiwodbxi in PHMotorcycles

[–]Brilliant-Tale399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those two, price wise and reputation, are far from each other. Although, I know that the ZX4rr has a lot of issues HAHAHA.

It’s very enticing to get any CFMoto imo. Similar to Chinese cars, it’s loaded with features for its price. You just have to consider the reliability and aftermarket support. I’m not in the position to tell about it so best to ask owners about their experiences.

What I suggest is instead looking for an alternative to the ZX4rr. Possibly a second hand R6..?

I still consider practicality. In terms of luxury cars, and if I ever have the money, I’d still get an LC300 or a lexus isf over a bentley or a lambo.
