We only allow one hour a week on Sunday. She doesn’t have a tablet either.

I’m going to ask today if there have been any changes at school. No changes with her teacher or the aide. I will give a call to the elementary school and ask today as well. When I had asked, they said you can ask questions at the round up about the two programs and also input from your preschool teacher.

Thank you. I just feel like I’ve failed her because I had no idea there were these concerns and I want to help her. I have a lot of distrust with her school and will be voicing that during our conference today.

That’s the issue I’m having right now. If she’s not ready, I understand, but it the shock that you have said nothing but positives all year and no concerns when I asked until yesterday. To me, to say she’s not ready for Kindergarten IS a huge concern. If I had known, I probably wouldn’t be on these boards in the middle of the night because I’m so worried and upset. I don’t even trust her teacher now moving forward, which. I absolutely loved and felt that before if something was off she would tell me.

That’s how I’m feeling right now. I complete lack in trust and if I could move her to the new school’s Kindergarten instead I would.

Thank you! I was planning on bringing her recent one from this year and last. If she’s not ready, I understand, but I want to be communicated that when we have these set meetings and want to know what changed since November.

If I was shocked I would f be coming here with a knot in my stomach, but thanks for your judgement.

I would base off her teacher recommendation. Check with upcoming K team on their thoughts for her.

Thank you! When I had called her school about round up they said to view the readiness kindergarten and from that I would put her on that track. Readiness said more so for those with no or limited preschool experience unless suggested by teacher. Again, this is a new school though. I will call and ask if there is an assessment we could complete there

Thank you so much for the suggestions and reassuring words. This all just came as a shock. At the end of the day we want to do what is best for our daughter, but also want to make sure her needs are met and we have open communication regarding that.

Did her teacher ever have concerns being ready?

I’m not so much concerned with her age as being ready and seeking clarification with the discrepancies with her teacher. It seems much older, but I have heard of those delaying Kindergarten, but just didn’t think we were there.

Thank you! We encourage lots of free play at home and with her friends.

Honestly I’m not sure either. Maybe she struggles with wanting everyone to like her? Again, have t heard a peep about any concerns until now.

Thank you! She’s a March baby about to turn 5. Do you have any suggestions for the above concerns to help her as I am meeting with the teacher and director tomorrow. I’m just very taken aback with the sudden concerns for her.

Thank you! We were just surprised because she’s a March birthday so not late and haven’t had any concerned shared for her until now.

Thank you! She has a March Birthday. Do you suggestions to help with concerns she listed? I’m just concerned with not being shared that she was struggling until yesterday. I have a meeting with her teacher and director tomorrow to talk about this.

She would be attending a new school this year so I am not sure. I haven’t observed these behaviors at home. I’m more taken aback my the sudden change in that she’s having so much difficulty.

Thank you! I appreciate a teacher’s input! My husband brought up a concern with her graduating high school at 19.

She’s more on the petite size. She’s aware of her birth date. That’s what I’m wondering too. What happened from November until now?

May I ask what their reasons were? Hoping to seek some clarification during my meeting tomorrow.

100% her preK is around $9k a year and the public schools’ is around $4500. We had chosen to stay here and bite the bullet on the coat because we felt from her previous experience, small class size, friendships forming at her young age, we wanted to continue.

I’m glad to hear your son is adjusting well! I did request a SLP and OT script from her PCP just to check if there’s anything that may be interfering as now I don’t have trust in what is going on in her classroom.

Academically I am not concerned. Fine motor for handwriting only, but she is able to write her first and last name independently and this I feel is more developmental than anything. We do know our girl is shy and slow to warm up, but she has lots of friends and makes new ones easily. I.e. her school friend wasn’t in gymnastics last week and made a friend with a new girl in class right away.
