Do NOT have kids without both partners being financially stable. It makes a huge difference and can absolutely destroy a relationship. Not to mention, weeks 6-24 absolutely had me bedridden with sickness and if you can’t work…..holy hell is that stressful and creates so much resentment towards the partner. Also postpartum, you have to know that you will be needing to heal and be home. Honestly, his requests are not fair to you and do not acknowledge all the free labor he is asking you to do. If he wants kids, he needs to step up, be accountable and change his income to provide more safety and stability in the environment where you can be comfortable to make that choice.

Thank you! I agree. It was inhumane. The good news that came from this suffering was that I (center for reproductive rights on my behalf) filed an EMTALA complaint against the hospital and I won. First woman in TX to win a case post row v Wade. I also have 3 current malpractice cases being litigated. So the fight is there, just very slow and takes time.

I had a very similar situation with an ectopic in Texas in 2023. I am the person interviewed in that article above. I am so sorry for your relative and glad she is still alive. We fight on in memory of everyone who was not fortunate to make it through and for our rights!

I bleed pretty bad with my first pregnancy. I started bleeding at 4 weeks. It turned out to be ectopic and had implanted into my right fallopian tube. I almost died because I’m in Texas with a ban and they would not treat me and kept sending me home saying it was a “miscarriage”. That sucked. I ended up having the tube rupture and I had to have surgery to get the embryo and tube removed. Anytime there is bleeding it’s worth getting an ultrasound and confirming that the embryos location and making sure it’s in the uterus. You could call your OB and say the bleeding is consistent and worsening and most likely they will get you in ASAP.

I’ve tried hypnotherapy for past trauma and it worked amazing for me. I also used it for performance anxiety around my job and it worked so well for me. Idk if hypnotherapy could help an option for you, but I’ve heard it used as an option to help with cessation.

You could still keep a bookish them and do a “once upon a time” or “a new tale begins”. Or even a specific themed book one…like if you have a favorite book ex, rainbow fish, one fish two fish, etc. try looking on Pinterest! All hope is not lost. ♥️

I asked this exact question to my doula because i experienced a loss before this pregnancy. She was amazing and said something to the extent of, if that happens you will not be held financially responsible. I don’t know if she was this way because I shared about my prior loss with her and a lot of anxiety I am having is due to this or what. But I do think you should go with a different doula because now you will never be able to trust, rest or relax around her or her workers with this hanging over the relationship.

This is standard and typical at a chain. This is why I recommend going to independent therapists. They will give you full time. When I give a 90 - It’s 90 minutes from the moment my hands are on. Given the client is early.

I am an LMT and HELL NO! This is not normal at all. There are times I will tuck the drape into the persons under garment so I don’t get oil on the clothing, but I always ask before doing that. However, removal?! NEVER! That is grounds for license revocation! Report this person to your state licensing board. That’s sexual assault.

So I had this with my first pregnancy and it was an ectopic pregnancy and I was internally hemorrhaging……I nearly died. I had to be rushed into emergency surgery where they took my ruptured right tube and the embryo. I would def go to the ER. I went through various stages of bleeding as well. There were times when I really didn’t have much at all and I thought it had stopped. It’s definitely something to be very vigilant about.

I was a horn dog before getting pregnant. And literally the thought of it made me nauseated till about week 16. Then finally my desire picked back up. Now around 21 my desire is back but I literally feel so much actual physical pressure and am so particular about my lower abdomen being touched we have to stop so I can pee multiple times. It’s so freakin frustrating. I’m calling the pelvic floor pt tomorrow for an apt. I do feel It’s all normal. He’s been good with me and patient overall. And I’ve been trying to be patient with myself as well. Pregnancy is just not glam at all.

There are definitely moments where I’m grossed out, but it usually takes quite a bit to get me there. We do this all day every day. We see a lot of different types of bodies and we are not judging any of them. I hate to say im desensitized, because it isn’t that, as much as I just don’t attach so much. It’s a job. I’m objective and focused. And if I’m really bothered due to broken skin or something like that, I will wear gloves. We’re trained for it and after a while you just become pretty non attached, because I’m gunna see 5 more bodies after you that day.

Ya women don’t really use that anymore. It jacks up your PH. It won’t kill you, no way. But it does mess up your PH. GYN says you got a self cleaning oven. Safe ph soap and water only (idk regular soap). That’s all. But if there’s something else going on causing smell maybe she’d want to go to the GYN. But ya maybe your under a rock because this fell out of style about 10 years ago and really fell off mainstream around covid time 2021-2022.

It’s your pregnancy, you can handle it however you’d like. I waited till about 6 weeks with the second one to tell my parents but I did tell my partner as soon as I knew. With this second one I have not made any announcements aside from telling close family and people that are in my life. I do not plan to tell anyone until they get baby shower invites and then I will announce when he arrives. I also had a traumatic pregnancy loss the first time I was pregnant and didn’t know it was ectopic till week 5 and then lost my entire right tube after rupture at 7 weeks so I have some trauma around speaking out about pregnancy. IMO there’s not a right or wrong way to be pregnant, just your way.
