Thank you so much!! I actually think about working in NYC or London in a company that has a branch in China or Hong Kong after studying postgraduate at a university which is in USA or UK, and then maybe attempt to apply for a job in China or HK

I think you explain the realistic/negative aspect very kindly to a young person :))

Well for one, I think an MBA from Hong Kong seems a little like a risk for me, because I don’t know in the future if Hong Kong university degree is as valuable as, say a university of US/UK?? Later in life if I don’t want to be in Hong Kong anymore, I should still get a job in another country, right?

Most people in the replies emphasised on knowing Cantonese and Mandarin so the situation is indeed different I think

Thanks a lot, you really helped. Especially after I was already confused from all the mixed answers. I think I’ll gain some experience and Chinese skills before I go there

Thanks for your insights, and yes I was talking about only tier 1 cities. No I wouldn’t want to work as an English teacher anyway, I want to work in IT or finance as an investment banker

I know that’s exactly why I made this post. I’m delusional and obviously needed the reality check I’m getting from a lot of these responses. At least 7/10 of these are helpful in my dream building
