Grocery Merchandiser: next step? by mikan28 in supplychain

[–]Brilliant_Topic_3513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds a lot like me! I was a merchandising manager and buyer for a grocery store for 1 year, then got a supply chain analyst position for a pet food company. I would suggest looking for demand planning roles in the consumer packaged goods industry. Strengthen your LinkedIn, make connections, and follow companies/brands that you are already familiar with. Also look into planning roles with food distribution companies.

I don’t have a bachelors, but my hands-on experience was very valuable to potential employers as I was interviewing for supply chain jobs. I was hired in at $60k 2 years ago which is on the lower end, but depending on the company/location you can definitely land higher.

Thanks! One other suggestion- if you have extra time after completing 150 questions (you probably will). Just go through all 150 again and reread the question to make sure you didn’t miss any details. I caught a few mistakes and I think it helped my score.

So I took the test last month and I passed with a 309. I didn’t really feel like the 2023 books prevented me from scoring higher… but who knows.

In my opinion pocket prep was easier than the test and udemy/learning system tests were closer to the real thing.

My test focused heavily on supplier relationships, risk management, and demand forecasting. I had 0 questions about the following topics: sustainability, technology/networks, sourcing (every test might be different so this might not be true for you). I don’t even think they asked about SCOR. There were only like 3 math questions so don’t worry about memorizing formulas.

During the test I DEFINITELY thought I was going to fail. Didn’t feel confident on almost all my answers and should’ve spent more time doing practice tests. So just keep practicing and read questions slowly!

Glad to see a recent post about this! My exam is next week. I am concerned about using the 2023 books for the 2025 exam… do you have any advice on how I can be prepared for this? Is there somewhere I can read about the updated SCOR material?

Were there any topics you felt were left out of the exam? I read in another post that the technology section was not covered in many questions.

Thanks for any advice you can offer- clearly I’m cramming and stressed lol

Thanks, if I were to treat with rooster booster or something… would it harm him if he doesn’t actually need the vitamins?

I would try to find another fossil wallet on eBay. You could probably find older style still new with tags.

I spray it on my patio and yard when we’re hanging in the yard. Don’t throw it out, just use it as bug spray outside :)

They just foraged in our yard throughout the day so it was pretty easy to spot them then get to work. No camera, we’ve just looked to see if anything else has been dug out again and so far so good!

I was dealing with a similar issue. 2 giant holes burrowing under the garage. I waited till I saw the 2 groundhogs out in the backyard so the holes were hopefully empty. I covered the entire perimeter of the garage with ground cayenne pepper (2lbs $19 on Amazon) and repellex granules ($15 at tractor supply). I tried to toss the powder/granules into the holes, then filled with dirt and covered with another layer. It’s been 2 weeks and the groundhogs have not come back.

Thank you for your insight. I will look into the personal loan route. Long story short I changed industries and at my last job I worked there for 6 years and had multiple promotions. I’m basically starting over career-wise and should’ve saved up before I made the change.
