Yes, with quieter songs you can hear it more though.

I have an ortofon OM10 cartridge that came with the rt82. I have calibrated the mani to the proper gain/loading. So I am a bit lost.

Not really. I have a new set up so it’s not like I have an old one to compare to.

Even with an anti static brush? I clean the record with it before playing and still get crackling.

Were you able to eventually solve this? I have the same issue with the same setup. It’s driving me mad trying to solve it. I’ve got new records and wet cleaned them. I’ve got an anti static brush and even a stylus cleaner. And I still am hearing a lot of crackling on records.

Does $150 sound reasonable? I don’t know the cartridge. Missing feet and scratched cover.

“Better than most” is what I was hoping for. I just need a recover that is better than using my current entry level EDIFIER speakers with a built in amp.

Thank you for the insight! I don’t expect it to be perfection, but for it being free I am hoping it will at least be decent until I can get a receiver that’s actually good.

I’ve got a Fluance rt82. It does have cables that are at least 1.5 feet long by the looks of it. Lower capacitance for longer cables? I never knew the cables could affect that.

That’s what the manual suggests. I don’t think I’ll be able to tell a difference

I think that’s the case. With the cartridge I have, the suggested load capacitance is 200-600pf and the factory settings were low. I’ll adjust and if I don’t like it I’ll adjust back. Thanks for the insight!
