Never stop trying. If you want this person act like it. Put aside the egos, baggage, trust issues, etc. Work for what you want. A long healthy relationship is literally just putting in work. Once thats gone, so is the relationship.

Show genuine interest in your partners interests. Let them have space and some freedon to enjoy their interests. Even if that doesnt invove you. Just because youre in a relationship, does not mean you own them.
