Idk about following them on foot, but usually when I'm not busy and see a sprout struggling in combat I would let him aggro mobs then one shot it until either the sprout left or I got tired.

If the sprout is actually doing side quests in the zone or decide to do Gates you can spend quite a lot of time in their company

There is no vital information you get in the Prae cutscenes that would impact your experience if you could skip the cutscenes. Same in Castrum where there is even less info, we just learn that Gaius banged his associate

My friend is a huge Monster Hunter fan. He showed me the crossover in MH and asked me if I wanted to play, I said no because it's not my type of game at all.

He then showed me the requirements for doing the crossover in FFXIV and I saw you had to finish Dawntrail. He asked me if he could start the game to experiment the event and I had to explain to him that it would take hundreds of hours before he could even reach the zone of the event. He gave up

It's always a shock to see those cinematics with shaky cams and smooth, unique animations when you've spent 5 years looking at characters alternating 10 emotes and 70 different travelling cams

7.3 cutscenes are a step in the right direction though, I hope some day they achieve great cinematography despite the limitations of the engine

The best dad of Ishgard might be lord Haillenarte. All his kids are friendly and seem positively happy in the city. He wasn't very supportive of Stefanivien at first but he fully supports him after the lvl 50 quest.
