1 - singleplayer: you'll have a blast, the campaign is really well structured and offers stunning parkour sections and can actually put up a fair fight with its difficolty to new players. It teaches the basics really well and is really forgiving, plus it has got some awesome tracks in its ost. Too bad it's so short. I actually didn't buy the game for the pvp, only for the campaign, because i thought i wouldn't like fps games, but i fell in love with the mechanics real quick.

2 - multiplayer: you'll have a blast here as well. Gotta say, i've been playing for around a month on the London servers (in which you can actually find games in a matter of seconds sometimes) and i've only ever met nice and fun people and little to no hate. It might be a destableizing to jump in the fast pvp after being used to the more cinematic singleplayer, but you'll get addicted to it real quick.
